I Let It Fly After One Year.. | 5% for SL Charity

Today is Wesak Poya day.. But it's not like Wesak poya days before. There us No Pandals this time. I really miss Dansal. We used to held a Dansal too.. But this all was Two Years Ago. Now we gotta keep the Social Distance. So no Special activities. What I miss the most is, Flying kite with my mates.

Last year, even if there was Corona Pandemic, It wasn't that bad in Last year. So we had the chance to Play Cricket, Fly kites etc. Hell, we Organized a "පහන් වැට" too. I had two things left from last season.

I felt a bit lazy this tine around to make new kites. You know, it's a bit risky to go out there buy Polyethene and find some better "කිතුල් පිති". So I decided to fly that tiny kite.

Barely 30CM

So I took thread and the kite and rushed to the backyard where our Plantations and the canal are. The wind was blowing so fast. So it was so easy to fly the kite. The kite was caught by the wind. But the kite is barely 30 Centimeters long. So the power of wind was too much for it.

It was hard to keep it up in the sky. So it started "කුරිය ගහන්න"😂. It was the fun part. There is no fun when a kite is stable. It should move a bid, should have some "කුරිය". That's when we can fight for survival of the kite. That's how we can give a Better Exhibition on the sky.

Suddenly the wind stopped 😨. So I gotta get it down quickly. It was only a brief session like 20 minutes. I used to fly kites like whole day in last year.This time it's different. It really sucks..

කිතුල් පිති

I found two good "කිතුල් පිති" and a piece of Bamboo. Now I can make a bit bigger kite. I should buy some Garbage Bags to prepare the kite. It's The best to make kites. It's light and cheap. You should try to make a kite.. Even it won't ever fly..😂 Happy Wesak guys.. Stay safe.. Peace.. ✌️
