What do you think when you look at our society today, my dear friends? Most people in today's society are envious of one another. When we look back in time, we can see that this type of jealousy was uncommon among our forefathers' generation. However, in today's society, 90% of people are envious of one another. People those days have few desires, so there is no competition. What they have, they share with others.
Jealousy is a common emotion, and I am also on some occasions jealous of some things. It is a complex emotion that can be harmful in a variety of ways. It's one of contempt. The desire to improve oneself may persuade one to be jealous. Jealousy begins with insecurity, strife, envy, loneliness, and hatred. But not all jealousy is bad. However, uncontrolled jealousy is harmful and dangerous.
Some people are jealous of others because they don’t have what they have. For example, a child who has no father is jealous of others who have fathers. When they watch they are playing with their father, as that child has no father, and he is automatically jealous of the other. When someone wants something that belongs to someone else or wants someone who is currently in a relationship, they become jealous.
The first case of jealousy is being envious of a neighbor's family. Why can't we love them and help them without being envious? Nowadays, children are taught from the first grade to compete, to be the best in their class. Not to be a good person in society, but to be a prominent man in society. Even in sports, rather than cooperation and equality, they have a winning mentality. Therefore, they compete to get that place, when they don't get that place, they are envious.
Nowadays, everything revolves around competition. People try to advance by defeating others. They don't care what happens to others, because everyone needs to be getting success. People are impulsive and selfish, and they dislike seeing others succeed.
Anyway, even though it is a common emotion if we can avoid it, the world will be a more beautiful place.
