1st of May 🍂

So, the 1st of May was a special day. Oh yeah, it was May Day as well as Amma's birthday. But the day started with very unhappy news.

There was a cat named Coco. She was nearly 7 months and was spayed about 3 weeks ago. We were very careful with her wound but unfortunately, the stitches in that wound had come off. It was infected and the wound had to be stitched again. Coco was very weak as she was not able to have any food. Everyone in the house wanted Coco to heal desperately. But after fighting a few days, she was gone. We tried a lot but she lost her battle. She was so innocent. 🥺💔

Anyway, because of that there was no happy environment in the morning. But we had to do something special. So, we went out for dinner. Everyone had suggestions as to where to go. Finally, we decided to go to කුඹුර restaurant which is located a little outside the town area.

It is a popular restaurant now. It has a pleasant outdoor seating area and cosy indoor dining space but that's only for a small crowd. The day we went, it was raining outside. Therefore, no one could stay outdoors. It also has accommodation facilities and a swimming pool. Every time we go there, there are several foreign couples. It is located close to several popular tourist attractions. I think that's why it is somewhat popular.

Even though I forgot to take some photos, the food is delicious here. We ordered nasiguran, pork rice, seafood rice and devilled chicken. The given portion is enough for 2 people. But you know, it is a large portion. Apart from that, I saw some negative things also. They took a lot of time to serve. And the staff is not enough to manage the customers. It's like they forget the customer's orders. 🤔 Last time, I saw a family who ordered food and left without having a meal because they took a lot of time.

Anyway, after a while, we all had a chance to gather around the table and enjoy a delicious meal. We had shared a wonderful evening. 💕
