Wow.
It's not very clean here either, the governments do not want to close the charcoal power plants as they loose voters and therefore, elections.
For the same reason, there aren't real grants for photovoltaics, of if someone manages to get approved, the grant for the households are for less than 4-5kW and that could hardly power a household with more than 2-3 persons. Also forbidden to sell back to the grid if a grant is used.
Just another proof politicians never do what's good for people in general :)

My grandmother used to prepare rosehip jam and I loved it, but nowadays not many make it at home anymore as it is so slow and requires a lot of time. I helped her once when I was a child, really tough job :)

For a very long time I only used 3 Kwh per day and it is doable but in the end it hardly brings anything because I have to pay the wires and the gaspipes and more nonese and they charge taxes, next administration (???) and taxes again next the electricity blah blah and taxes.. It's hard to calculate what it will cost since all those taxes make it extra expensive. Even if I don't use electricity I pay a few hundreds of euros per year for something I don't use.

I hear more and more countries in Europ do have or start powerplants and France is the number one with cheap (?) electricity unlike many other countries so the question is why they are close most likely to ruin Germany again and next the Netherlands (one industry the other one food supply).
if electricity is that rare hw come electric cars, busses. scooters, 3 devices per person are promoted? Why are we forced to have everything new (it costs energy to produce and the industry and next building (house + renovating) are the most dirty industries and worse than the cows or pigs and what farmers do who are blamed just like the average household.

Rosehip jam and syrup is easy to make. With a hand full of rosehips you can make a jar and a bottle out of it. Pick them (they say the best is if there was one night frost but you can also put them in the freezer over night or let it be). Next you cook them with water. after they are soft you push them though a sieve

I have this one (my grandmother had it too and I bought mine second hand which is way cheaper)

Threw everything inside, stir and there it is without the seeds

Next you put it back in the pan add sugar and that basically it. If it's thick it's jam it it's thinner it's syrup.

Oh, this is brilliant. I haven't seen anything like this so far :)))

I wondered how companies manufacture it, they probably use similar techniques, larger scales, of course.

I couldn't find locally a used Oxo Mill, but brand new is about EUR 65 (a bit better than Amazon's USD 77 with fees and shipping incl.

I don't like the rosehip jam they sell in the stores as the two manufacturers I found add pectin and it feels more like jello and not jam. Also, too expensive and more than 50% of it is just sugar. Probably that's the purpose of the pectin, so the pulp doesn't lay down at the bottom of the jars, lol.

Our family invested into 5kW PV rooftop farm but we couldn't get a grant for batteries so unfortunately we can't utilize everything we could produce. The only option is a bank load and I won't do that. I'm trying to pile up some money to get the batteries but I think I will wait until solid-state batteries became adopted. Better, cheaper and less prone to fires :) So with no batteries in the summers 75-80% of our daily needs are covered by our PV farm, but some winter days are very cold and we buy between 20-40 kWh per day, especially if it's cloudy.

Europe has been dependent on Russian natural gas very long and as the war changed that, some unpopular steps will have to be taken, that's my only logical explanation.
Conspiracy theorists say Fusion will not be allowed to go commercial and probably they are right, as there are people who tried it as hobby and once succeeded, were quickly visited by the authorities ;) If I am not wrong, I read about a 12-years old US boy who made fusion happen in their garage :))))
Scientists work on making the process stable more than 60 years already so it is strange nobody succeeded.

Oh, by the way, thanks so much for you encouraging me to apply as an Atlas Ambassador. I just did and posted my application, it came out a bit longer than I anticipated so I hope someone apart from pensiff reads it, lol
