It's a good thing to visit the cinema during the day. Not many visitors, the tickets are cheaper plus we can lay down where we like.
What are we watching? It looks like the 'Sound of Music' or is it commercials.

The Red Door
The one I see is this one. To me, it is promising just like the film. It's part 5 (the end?) of what I never saw. I missed it somehow. What is promising to me, is scary to others. The red door is the gate to another world, a dimension which can be scary unless you know that only if you decide to go further you might find what you are missing.
Opening the door, step into The Further is a choice. If not from the conscious it is by the soul driven by instinct it decides it's time to leave the body behind and step further into the light or darkness.
It's all about exploring, discovering, searching the what, why and one you are looking for during soul travels. Scary? It is or can be if no one who can catch you if you fall, if your body is taken over by aliens (strangers) and you don't know how to get back although there's always a line (silver cord) that keeps us connected.
Like many of us are capable of a father and son (10-years-old) both leave their body to travel to other dimensions. Nightmares or true? Dalton, the boy, is 19 at the start of this film and he and his father are hypnotized, told to forget a year of their lives. Is it possible to silence the mind, does the lie "you were in a coma" make sense? Is Dalton the typical, too sensitive artist or is there more?
Lies, lies, and more lies. The red door shows and is no longer drawn by Dalton but painted (I would buy that painting in an instant).
We both watch in amazement, waiting for the truth being told. Supportive are not those who know but the students, who never experienced. They put trust in Dalton, enough to know this is not about an artist losing control, getting crazy but the truth that needs to be unveiled to be able to shut the door forever to the further forever. No doctor or scientist can do that.
The trailer, to me it's dumb and not more than an attempt to make this film more horror than it is. It's psychological and the red line is the state of mind trying to understand and cope with the needs (to travel) of the soul. This film is good, gives plenty to think and discuss, well directed and we'll definitely watch it again.

My love is waiting. Through the city of Freiburg we walk companied by many thoughts and the knowledge we are not alone. Some see and are even capable to write it down and direct a good film, sending a message to those able to read and translate symbolism. We are not crazy, not alone, all travelers by chance or destination on our way home.

Who set that limit? You? Me? The community? Is fear instilled for not living by the rules? The average person does not exist only a group that cramp slide trying to live via set rules to be normal and so be accepted.
Those who are not accepted do better to leave. A new environment where equals are. The world of artists is definitely one of those. You are allowed to be different there undisturbed, have imagination, believe and see and hear what others are blind and dead to.
I regularly watch a film without sound. It's interesting how different everything looks then.
