Random Thread #2: A Tale of Four Destroys

There are fourish ways to do a unit with knight destroy.

The ones with more "attack power" are less mobile and destroy. I predict the more mobile knight movers will be preferred, with magic being obviously preferred to pathed ranged, and that blue angel is preferred over fire beast.

Pathranged is the (Ranged) equivalent to (Path) abilities.

Red Angel (A) has Ferz movement and Knight pathranged destroy (diagonal then orthogonal, the reverse of a Mao).
Fire Beast (B) has Ferz movement and Knight magic destroy
Blue Angel (C) moves like a Knight and has pathranged destroy like Red Angel
Fire Rider (D) moves and destroys like a Knight

The first two people to cost these units will be awarded 20 RP.

14/16/8/14, with A>D. When I look at B I feel like it's about an equal comparison to Ranger+++. Magic is stronger and no minion can retaliate at that range, but colorboundness and lack of kingattack is bad. A is slightly weaker and interruptible. D's poor maneuverability and -4 attacks is only saved in rankings by being a degenerate minion killer anyway and not being colorbound.

C is a meme and comparable to Alchemist.

interesting viewpoint... attack power apparently matters more than mobility (I thought making the less mobile destroyers colorbound by making them use F and not W would probably give the edge to the "faster" destroyers that move like an N) when it comes to destroy

You did raise the point about N being awkward apparently, but N is a normal type of movement so I don't think it's fair to call an N too awkward

I'd use Fire Beast with a Demon+++ because that's a very good combo

I definitely overestimated Blue Angel's effectiveness though, it doesn't have unblockable movement and it can easily be blocked with no recourse

As a small addendum, (Pathranged) is more properly notated as (Path, Ranged)
