If you look at the collections of pre-Islamic poetry, you will see this important chapter of praise and pride. Antara bin Shaddad al-Absi says in his commentary: -
And I drank from the cup of the morning after the noon rush stopped, from a yellow-colored striped crystal cup, which was placed on the left side, with a shiny and closed mouth. I drank clear and transparent wine, and when I drink, I spill my wealth. But my honor remains intact. No harm comes to it, and even when I come to my senses, I do not neglect generosity, and you know my character and generosity.
It was the result of their generosity that they used to gamble. They believed that gambling was also a way of generosity because they would give whatever profit they got or whatever was left over from the share of those who got profit to the poor. That is why the Holy Quran did not deny the benefits of alcohol and gambling, but rather said:
"And the sin of both of them is greater than their benefit."

That too is one of the noble morals of the era of ignorance. For them, the covenant had the status of religion, to which they would cling anyway, and in this way, the blood of their children and the destruction of their families were not considered anything. To stand firm on this and not to tolerate oppression and oppression was also one of the well-known morals of the pre-Islamic period. The reason for this was that their bravery and pride were excessive. They would immediately become enraged and at the slightest hint of humiliation and insult, they would take up swords and spears and wage a very bloody war. They did not care at all about their lives in this path.
