On Monday, I woke up at around 1 pm with a sore throat, what we usually call gala kharab. After lunch, my mother suggested i take a Leflox tablet, which i usually take when i feel throat pain. I took the tablet and a few minutes later, i took shower. At around 4 pm my tuition students arrived and i started teaching them. While teaching, i started to feel an intense itchiness on my face which was very uncomfortable.

I told my mother about the itching and she suggested it might be some sort of allergy and advised me to take a Softin tablet (an antihistamine) after dinner. So after dinner at around 8:30 pm, I took the Softin tablet. About half an hour later i noticed red patches near my lips, hand and on my neck. This wasn't the first time i had experienced this; it had happened before with another medicine. However, this time was different. The itching started first and the reaction occurred after taking a medicine i had used before without any issues.

Concerned, my mother called the doctor and explained everything. The doctor recommended i take a Kestine tablet that night and again in the morning. I took the tablet before bed but at around 2 am i started feeling cold and decided to sleep. By 4 am i woke up with a high fever. My mother checked my temperature and it was quite high. I fell asleep again afterward.

On Tuesday morning, I woke up at 8 am with swollen lips and an increase in the red patches. After having breakfast i took the medicine as instructed by the doctor and then went back to sleep. I woke up for lunch but felt drowsy and ended up sleeping again. The entire day passed in a haze as i was feeling too sleepy and could barely keep my eyes open.

Yesterday evening i went to the doctor for a check-up and he prescribed some other tablets for me to take for three days. It’s a little better now and i am hopeful that everything will be cleared up by tonight.

I wish you get well soon @amnafaraz2005 . I had been suffering from itching for around 5 years. Medications help only for temporary reliefs. You need to take care of yourself 👍

Thank you so much for your kind wishes @krishna001 🙏 I appreciate your concern. Fortunately, the itching i experienced was only for a short time and the main issue was actually the red patches that appeared after taking the medication.

Thankfully, they are much better now and i am hopeful that everything will be fully cleared up soon. I am sorry to hear that you have been dealing with itching for so long.I can imagine how challenging that must be. Take care of yourself too and i hope you find some lasting relief 😊

Ohh that's a relief to hear that it was a temporary problem. It has been 5 years since I got fully rid of that problem. God bless you 😌
