I hope you are all doing well!
Yesterday, my class was canceled due to road closures caused by a PTI jalsa. Instead of letting the day go to waste, we decided to turn it into a special one by visiting our grandmother's house for breakfast. The plan was made suddenly so we quickly got ready and left the house around 10:30 am.
Our first stop was at the PSO to fill the car with fuel.
Next we stopped at Tawakkal Halwa Puri to buy the Halwa puri.
The place was so much crowded, with a long line of men waiting and just a few women in the separate queue. My mother joined the line of females while we stayed in the car, eagerly waiting for her to return with the delicious halwa puri.
We reached to our grandmother’s house at around 11:30 am. She was pleasantly surprised and happy to see all of us together because my mother, father and younger sisters usually visit her more often. My elder sister and i rarely get the chance to join due to our busy schedules so it felt extra special to be there as a complete family.
After catching up and sharing some warm conversations we helped our mami in serving the halwa puri.
We enjoyed a breakfast of halwa puri. The food was delicious and the company made it even better. These simple moments with loved ones are truly priceless. After breakfast, my sister and i washed the dishes to help and share the workload.
We left for home around 12:30 pm. It was a short but memorable visit that brightened everyone’s day. Spending time at my grandmother’s house always feels special and this small breakfast gathering was no exception.
Moments like these remind me of the joy in simple things (family, laughter and shared meals). I am grateful for the chance to make memories like these.
