Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Since Ramzan is near, everyone is busy with preparations. Shopping malls and markets are overcrowded these days. Mostly, people are busy shopping for Eid, while some are preparing for weddings that will take place right after Eid.
Similarly, I was also busy with wedding preparations because, during Ramzan, going to shopping malls and struggling in the crowd is not possible. My cousin’s wedding is right after Eid, so it was necessary to do the shopping before Ramzan. Honestly, I don’t like shopping at all, but my mom threatened me that if I didn’t go, my dresses wouldn’t be made. Brown moms know very well how to convince their children! So, I had no choice but to go.
If you are shopping in Karachi and don’t go to Tariq Road, then it’s impossible! So, first, we went to Tariq Road. After roaming around for two hours, my mom finally found a dress she liked and bought it. While wandering there, I saw a shoe outlet, and my heart melted, but I had already spent too much on shoes, so this time, I had to control myself and ignore them.
Then we went to Zainab Market, another famous shopping spot. From there, I bought a bag for university. After that, I needed to buy an abaya, which took hours of searching. Finally, I found a good one and bought it. That’s when I realized how much effort is required just to buy a few things. If you like the stuff, the price doesn’t make sense, and if the price is reasonable, then the material is not good enough. The whole day goes by in this struggle, and you don’t even realize when evening turns into night.
For me, shopping feels more like a struggle than fun, but at the same time, it’s enjoyable to explore new things. Most probably, the first fast will be on Saturday, so Ramzan Mubarak in advance to all of you!
