I hope that you all are doing quite well. I am also doing well. Today As my class was over i decided to go to local stalls to eat some local food and enjoy it. i decided to go there with my friend and sister "Zunaira".
I travel by public transport so I usually have to change transports per stop. Usually I change 3 transports to reach my destination i.e. Home.
Upon reaching my 2nd last destination is a area fully crowded with people food. There are a lot of local stalls fully occupied with people selling items like fries, seasoned rice, sugar cane juice and what not.
They also have some munchies like Nimco`s which are seasoned with spices and pomegranate with same seasoning.
I was very tired as travelling in public transport here in Karachi is no child game and no ease. It is a separate labor to find a buss wait for it , and then reach your destination.
I was so tired because of bad summer heat which is still in November. I felt so vitamin C deficient that I decided to stop to purchase a sweet juice for me, to boost my stamina.
Upon seeing the shop I decided to try out the sugar cane juice . It was quite cheap ,they had different prices according to the quantity we wanted.
Me and my sister purchased the sugar cane juice which was about 1.37 STEEM for the both of us.(0.68 for an individual)
It was nice and super cold . It was so refreshing that upon drinking it I felt energetic and my sleepy mood and face was completely gone as if I had drugs.
At the same time I was also very hungry . I saw a fries shop which was just behind the juice shop . We went to explore it and we saw that he was selling cheap fries so again we decided to buy some for us.
As we both were hungry we decided to buy the jumbo pack fries separately for the both of us.
Cause we cant share fries can we?
The fries were affordable and the price were very even . We got one box of fries for 1.37 STEEEM . (2.75 for the both of us.)
We added more ketchup and spices in our fries and went on to explore more. As we explored more ,we saw that most of there items were very heavy food like curry with chapati (a thick bread). Or nihari and all dinner items .
But as we were there for snack and munchies so we decided to pack our selves and continue with our destination.
One ,thing that i love about local foods is that my stomach is so used to eating bad hygiene food .
I am so glad that I don't fall sick after eating or drinking from such local shops and The second thing is that I love the quantity of food they have to offer . The prices are quite reasonable and cheap and the food is good ,to full an empty stomach.
With the increasing rates of inflation in my country . I think it is a good practice to actually eat from local stalls rather than from any fancy restaurants or cafes who have a lot to offer but the perks are almost the same. It is just the environment for me. And I will always prefer local food over anything ,anytime.
