This is my story In which I am fond of wearing glasses. When I see someone in glasses I just wanna try it how I am looking in those or that glasses.
Mostly I also fight with my cousin on glasses I almost try her glasses and she snatched her glasses with me. I stare her with in full anger and in return she also stare me and said to me that don't use my glasses again It will also ruin your eyes. and I just ignore her.
I always thought that I am looking pretty in glasses. and always ask that
Am I looking good?
Am I looking intelligent in glasses?
Am I looking cuteeee?
But the strange thing is that I never wanted to wear glasses but I liked people with glasses.
Anyway the day finally came when I was also counted among those who wear glasses. It's with great regret that I say that a few days ago I had a terrible headache. I told my father several times but at that moment he didn't pay much attention.
But the latest event happened when I was at university, and I couldn't find a seat at the front so I had to sit at the back. I sat at the back with my friends and we started chatting. After a while the class started.
When the teacher came in I couldn't see her very clearly, but it wasn't completely blurry either. The real problem arose when she wrote on the board and I genuinely couldn't understand what she was writing. I asked my friends if they couldn't see it either or if it was just me. They said they could see it clearly. I replied Oh, okay.
When I got home I told my father and he said we would go for an eye checkup that evening. I said Alright. But even I couldn't fully comprehend whether my eyes were weak or not because according to me I could see everything it was just that I had a headache.
Later that evening when my father came home we went to the eye clinic. On the way many thoughts crossed my mind what if I had to wear glasses? Would they suit me or not? I had so many thoughts at that time but I think the biggest concern was whether I would look good in them or not.
When we arrived the doctor examined my eyes in various ways. Then he said that my eyes had been weak for quite some time and that we had come too late.
He asked me several questions like, Do you often get headaches?
Do you use your phone a lot?
Or
do you study too much? He asked these kinds of questions.
Then he gave us a slip with the prescription for the glasses. He said that both my near and far vision were weak.
I was in shock, thinking How is this possible? But I only thought that I didn't say it out loud.
He said I needed to wear glasses all the time. My eyesight had weakened because I studied too much which was why I had headaches as well.
Anyway a day later my glasses were in my hands. I didn't like how I looked at all with the glasses on.
I was having all kinds of thoughts, like I looked like a cartoon. Everyone had different comments about my glasses but, as usual the most unique comment came from my elder brother. I asked him, How do I look? And he said, You look like a girl with glasses(you are looking like a chashmulli).
And I was like Wow, what a compliment.
Whenever my brother looks at me, he says Why did you have to start wearing glasses? I dislike people with glasses so much and now even my sister has to wear them. He constantly says that he doesn't like people with glasses and also says that i seemed angry in glasses. He also says that wearing glasses makes me look very cunning and he gives me many more such compliments.
At first when I used to wear glasses I felt like my brain was shutting down. It felt like I couldn't understand anything I was hearing. And if I took off my glasses I would completely forget to put them back on and then I'd have to search for them to wear them again. I started to dislike wearing glasses. My mom kept telling me to wear them so that my eyes wouldn't get any weaker and because of her insistence I would wear them sometimes but not always.
Then one day I forgot my glasses on the bed and someone stepped on them. To this day I haven't been able to figure out who exactly stepped on my glasses. My younger brother says it was my elder brother who stepped on them by mistake while he says it was my sister who did it. No one is willing to admit who actually broke my glasses.
Anyway when I showed my broken glasses to my dad and asked him to get them fixed he said, I don't buy glasses for people who don't know the value of money and who get glasses made but don't wear them. Then I promised my dad that I would wear them from now on.
A few days later my glasses were repaired and now I wear them regularly. I keep them in a safe place. Now I feel like my brain doesn't work without glasses like I am incomplete without them.
When I wear my glasses people show me their fingers and ask How many fingers am I holding up? And how many now? How can I tell them that just because we wear glasses doesn't mean we are blind. We can see everything just a bit blurry but we can still see it all.
Funny thing was that I am the first one who wear glasses in my family and also the first one in my friends group.
Well I received a lot of compliments after wearing glasses. Most of the compliments were good like people saying that I look nice but now I think to myself, I wish I didn't have to wear glasses. People with glasses have so many issues like having to take them off in the rain and if I put them somewhere, I can never find them it in the same place again.
If we set aside all these issues, NOW I like myself in every way, both with glasses and without glasses.
Well, sometimes I think that wearing glasses makes a person look smart but at the same time, I also think that wearing glasses makes a person look silly. Now you tell me in the comments what you think about this.
In my opinion, glasses give a new style to someone's personality. It's not necessary that wearing glasses makes someone look smart or silly it all depends on perspective. Glasses suit some people very well and they add a new sparkle to their personality. Your comfort and confidence matter the most. If you feel good in your glasses then that's the most important thing.
Your brother's chashmulli comment was hilarious😂 I also call my sister chashmish when she wears glasses

Yes, it is true that glasses look trendy, but some people wear glasses because of weak eyesight.

so relatable🙂 !! I was in 5th grade when I got my glasses. I also feel like glasses don't suit me so I stopped wearing them after a year . It feels odd to wear glasses with a hijab, so now I only use glasses while working on my laptop, and that too only at home 😭

🤓 Glasses - A New Perspective 🤓
Hey friends! 👋 I just read this amazing post about someone's experience with wearing glasses for the first time. It made me think about our own perspectives on something that might seem trivial to some, but can make a big difference in how we feel about ourselves. 😊
The author shares their journey of getting glasses, dealing with the initial hesitation and eventual acceptance, and learning to love themselves - both with and without glasses! 💕 It's so refreshing to see someone embracing their individuality and not letting something as small as glasses define their self-worth. 🙌
What I loved most about this post is how it encourages us to look beyond the physical aspect of wearing glasses and focus on what truly matters - our comfort, confidence, and personality! 💖 It's a reminder that we should never judge someone (or ourselves) based on something as subjective as appearance.
So, what do you think? 🤔 Do glasses make someone look smart or silly? Do they add to their personality or detract from it? Share your thoughts in the comments below! 💬
