Ramadan Mubarak to everyone!
Today was the first fast of Ramadan and thank God it was Sunday so the university was off.
At Sehri time I started hearing my mom's voice from the kitchen calling for someone to wake up and help her because the gas supply was acting up and everything had to be prepared using the gas cylinder.
The moment I heard that I tightly shut my eyes hoping that one of my sisters would wake up and go instead of me so I could get a little more sleep.
And guess what? That’s exactly what happened Both of my sisters got up and went to help mom.
But the worst part? They turned off the fan before leaving.... That is something I absolutely hate no matter if it’s summer or winter. How could they do this to me? 😭
Anyway, after a while I was woken up too. It was exactly 5:21 AM when I was called and by 5:37 AM Sehri time was over.

After eating, I offered Fajr prayer recited a little bit of the Quran and then went back to sleep.
As everyone knows fasting makes you feel like just sleeping all day because well using the phone and other distractions is not really an option.
The next time I opened my eyes it was already 3:30 PM I quickly freshened up prayed my namaz and then sat down to study since I had some university work to complete even though it was a holiday.
I kept studying for quite a while and as Asr time approached mom asked me to dissolve sugar in water to prepare the syrup for Sharbat. I made it and kept it in the fridge to chill.
After offering Asr prayer I joined mom in preparing Iftar. And guess what? The gas decided to surprise us once again, it was completely out.
And to make matters worse the gas cylinder was also empty Just when we were wondering what to do my brother returned from the mosque and went to get the gas filled.
Once that was sorted we could finally resume our work.
At Maghrib, we broke our fast with the call to prayer. After Iftar I made tea for my parents.

Alhamdulillah the first fast went really well. Now let’s see how the rest of Ramadan goes. University is starting again tomorrow.....uff! 😩
By the way I do not have any pictures to share with you all because you know, when you are fasting you don’t really feel like doing anything extra.
