We've had our 4th FYP meeting now, and honestly, this semester is flying by. Mondays, the day of our meetings, are always exhausting. We’re in classes from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., plus we have to travel from the main campus to the city campus and yes, by local bus so feeling tired is a given by now.
When we reached campus, the class was closed, but someone opened it for us after a couple of minutes. We were the first ones there, so the four of us settled in and set up our code to show in the meeting.
After that, we suddenly remembered we had to sort out a fee issue for the city campus—though we'd already paid it.
So, two of us went to the accounts office. When we got outside, the campus was completely dark, and our instructor wasn’t in the classroom because he had gone to pray.
This gave us a chance to look around a bit more. We went to the accounts office, but it was closed, so we took a quick walk around before heading back to class.
Once it was our turn for the meeting, everything went smoothly, thank God! The meeting wrapped up well, and we were done by 8 p.m., so we finally headed home.
Today is Tuesday, and we had a lab class, but thankfully it was scheduled late, so we got to sleep in before heading to university.
We took our class, and there was also a blood donation campaign for Fatima Foundation happening today, so we all went there.
They told us they would check a few things first to make sure we were eligible to donate blood. Unfortunately, we were rejected in the first step because neither my friend nor I weigh above 50kg. However, three of my friends met the criteria, so they were able to donate blood.
I think it's a good thing to donate blood, but a friend of mine mentioned that they don't fully trust organizations to deliver the blood to the right people or use it responsibly. They prefer to donate directly to someone in need without involving any organization, and honestly, I kind of agreed with them. What do you all think about that?
After the blood donation, they gave certificates to those who donated and provided some snacks to help restore their energy. By the time we got to our class, we were already running late, and the lab task had already started, so we had to rush to finish it. And that's how the day wrapped up.
It is true that donating blood is a noble act that can save lives. However, your friend's doubts about trusting the organization are also understandable.
