My Favorite Festival

a special day or period, usually in memory of a religious event, with its own social activities, food, or ceremonies.

In the world, there are millions of festivals celebrated by people. It's a part of human life. Those days bring us joy and momentum to live longer in our memories. In a festival, people often meet each other and share their time. Make a strong community and bonds.

1. Eid-Al-Adha.
2. Eid-Al-Fitr.

Both of the festivals are for us, Muslims all over the world. We celebrate this as we should be. Culturally, in Bangladesh, there are also some more festivals for me to celebrate,

• Pahela Bishakh - 1^stday of Bangla Calender.
• Independence Day of Bangladesh.
• Victory Day of Bangladesh.
• International Mother Language Day.

Among all of those festivals, My favorite one is Eid-Al-Fitr. Both Eids have different reasons and rules to follow and obey. I am not sure which one I love most, because both of them bring much joy and moments to celebrate. But I think there are slight effects Eid-Al-Fitr has to come first between the two.

There are various reasons to choose Eid-Al-Adha as my favorite. But, I think in our country, people enjoy Eid-Al-Fitr more than Eid-A-Adha. Eid-Al-Fitr comes once in a year. After the holy month of Ramadan, a Hijri month, 1^st day of Shawwal, all over the world Muslims celebrate this very Holy Day. Due to the direct connection with the sight of the Moon, it is not celebrated same day everywhere, but celebrated with the same enthusiasm and wisdom.

After a month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting, the moon of Shawwal comes as a message of happiness. We have been preparing for this for a long time. Here, in my country, people make a new dress for this Day as a part of Sunnah. Boys normally wear Panjabi. Girls with a lot of dresses. I even don't know the type of their dress!

On the day, men eat something sweet, also as a part of Sunnah, and left for place of Prayer for Eid Salah. There are special Prayer for Eid and it's should be prayed at the Eid grounds. But not necessary to pray only there, if not possible you can participate in a Mosque too. After that, we hug each other as a part of celebration and brotherhood. We come back home after that. Either we went to the relative's house or they came to us. It's a festival to share, sharing our joy, happiness, and moments.

Eid brings happiness to everyone. Everyone in my country. Doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, happy or sad! In this day, the rich donates to the poor. Rich do that with happiness and the poor become happy. People visit each other and enjoy themselves together. There are a lot of reasons for Did-Al-Fitr to be my favorite festival.
