Diary-Creativewriting || A moment at the Acehnese Greatness Mosque

Dear friends, admins and all moderators of the community. The story was last night, namely Tuesday evening, September 30 2024, after attending a technical guidance session for the apparatus. Two of our village officials and I started to refresh for a moment, namely leaving the hotel where we were staying at around 10.00 pm West Indonesia Time, of course with a friend's private car in Banda Aceh City, with the aim of touring Banda Aceh City before us. return to the hotel to sleep and rest.

Our first trip was just to go around the city of Banda Aceh, although we didn't explore the whole city considering the size of the city and our short time. Then we stopped in front of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque in Banda Aceh, which is the great mosque of the Acehnese people. There we also enjoyed a cup of herbal medicine to increase our stamina in following the technical guidance of the apparatus this year.

However, in between, I was very tempted to enjoy the beauty of the night in the courtyard of the majestic mosque of the beloved people of Aceh, namely the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. I immediately set foot alone and said goodbye to my other colleagues so that I could take a few photos in the mosque courtyard even though the conditions were a little dark.

How do we know that the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is located in the center of Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province. This mosque is not only a place of worship for the people of Aceh, but also a symbol of the greatness, resilience and long history of Aceh as the center of Islamic civilization in the archipelago.

According to history, the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque began to be built during the reign of Sultan Iskandar Muda around 1612. Until now, the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque has become a symbol of the greatness of the people of Aceh as a province for implementing Islamic law as a whole in Aceh.

Back to basics, last night I was alone watching the beauty of the night in the grounds of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, which is a mosque of the majesty and greatness of the people of Aceh. By asking someone for help, I was able to capture several photos in the courtyard of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, even though the conditions were less than satisfactory considering the conditions in the middle of the night.

Actually, the location where we live is very far from the center of the capital, Banda Aceh. We live in North Aceh which is almost a 7 hour drive to Banda Aceh City. Because of that, at least once a year I can come to enjoy and worship for a while at the majestic mosque of our community.
