I initially had no intention of writing about the fountains of Petrodvorets, because I had already done this in my earlier publications, but that day we had an excursion planned in the Lower Park and while we were waiting for our time, we walked around the park a little and took some photos.
HELP FROM THE NETWORK: The fountains of Peterhof are deservedly considered the most luxurious and refined such complex in the whole world. Almost 3 centuries have passed since its construction, but still the main decoration of the imperial residence continues to impress the guests. Each of the several dozen fountains has not only a unique shape, but also a water jet pattern.
Someday I will definitely go to Peterhof and devote a lot of time to the fountain to make some large and detailed reports, but this time I will limit myself to just a short story about this wonderful place, briefly describing some of the fountains.
When you enter the territory of the Lower Park, you will not be able to pass by the main (Large) cascade, in the middle of which is the Samson Fountain. More precisely, it is a whole group of fountains combined in one common composition. Naturally, this place is the most visited, where everyone takes selfies and takes pictures of each other on their phones.
The fountains of the Chalice are located not far from the central square. They are arranged symmetrically from each other along the edges of the central channel. A string of small fountains stretches along the main embankment where the Petrodvorets stands. There are several of them here and they are all the same. All fountains are powered by a natural influx of water coming here from reservoirs located above ground level.
HELP FROM THE NETWORK: At first glance, it is impossible to understand how many fountains there are in Peterhof. However, if you walk around the palace complex and count, it turns out that there are a lot of them here, as many as 191. And each is a work of art. They are complemented by 4 large cascades. Most of the fountains are located in the Lower Park. Not all of them are in their original form – some were changed due to dilapidation, some could not be preserved during the Great Patriotic War. But the lost fountains were reconstructed according to drawings that have been preserved in the archives.
I would like to mention the firecracker fountains separately. There are several of them here too, but they are all completely different, they have only one principle of operation: You can walk or run inside the fountains. But at some point, you may suddenly be doused with a jet of water. Children love these fountains very much, sometimes they get completely soaked, running laughing and screaming under the warm summer streams.
There are also "Roman" fountains in the park. There are two of them here, too, and they are also symmetrically arranged from one another. Their architecture copies ancient Roman fountains. There are a huge number of fountains and several large cascades in the park. That slide in the black and white cage is called the Tomato Cascade.
The weather was warm that day, although a light warm rain began every now and then. We didn't hide from him on purpose, but soon it was our turn to go on a very interesting excursion, and I'm going to tell you about it tomorrow. And that's all for today!

СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Фонтаны Петергофа заслуженно считают самым роскошным и изысканным подобным комплексом во всем мире. С момента его возведения прошло почти 3 века, но до сих пор главное украшение императорской резиденции продолжает впечатлять гостей. Каждый из нескольких десятков фонтанов имеет не только уникальную форму, но и рисунок водной струи.
Когда-нибудь я обязательно съезжу в Петергоф и уделю фонтаном много времени, чтобы сделать несколько больших и подробных репортажей, но в этот раз ограничусь лишь небольшим рассказом об этом замечетельном месте, вкратце рассказав о некоторых фонтанах.
Когда вы входите на территорию Нижнего парка, вы не сможете пройти мимо главного (Большого) каскада, посередине которого расположен фонтан Самсон. Точнее, это целая группа фонтанов, объединённых в одной общей композиции. Закономерно это место является самым посещаемым, где все делают селфи и фоткают друг друга на телефоны.
Недалеко от центральной площади расположились фонтаны "Чаши". Они расположены симметрично друг от друга по краям от центрального канала. Вдоль основной насыпи, где стоит Петродворец протянулась вереница небольших фонтанов. Их тут несколько и все они одинаковые. Все фонтаны питаются от естесственного притока воды, подающейся сюда с водоёмов, расположенных выше по уровню грунта.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: С первого взгляда невозможно понять, сколько фонтанов в Петергофе. Однако если прогуляться по дворцовому комплексу и посчитать, окажется, что их здесь очень много, целых 191. И каждый – произведение искусства. Их дополняет 4 больших каскада. Большая часть фонтанов расположена в Нижнем парке. Не все они в своем первоначальном виде – некоторые меняли из-за ветхости, что-то не удалось сохранить во время Великой Отечественной войны. Но утраченные фонтаны были реконструированы по чертежам, которые сохранились в архивах.
Отдельно хочется сказать о фонтанах-шутихах. Их здесь тоже несколько, но все они абсолютно разные, у них лишь один принцип действия: Внутри фонтанов можно ходить или бегать. Но в какой-то момент тебя может неожиданно обдать струя воды. Эти фонтаны очень любят дети, порой они полностью вымокают, со смехом и визгом бегая под тёплыми летними потоками.
Есть в парке и "Римские" фонтаны. Их тут тоже два и они так же расположены симметрично один от другого. Их архитектура копирует древнеримские фонтаны. Всего в парке огромное количество фонтанов и несколько больших каскадов. Вон та горка в чёрно-бклую клетку так и называется - Шашматный каскад.
В тот день стояла тёплая погода, правда то и дело начинался мелкий тёплый дождик. Мы не прятались от него специально, но вскоре подошла наша очередь отправиться на одну очень интересную экскурсию, и о ней я собираюсь рассказать вам уже завтра. А на сегодня у меня всё!
