Salam to all, hope you are all doing well. This is Amina Safdar, member of steemitpak and going to share my favourite travel spot in Pakistan. My favourite spot to do travel(in future I.A) is Chitral.

Chitral

It is a district in the province kpk, located along the chitral river in hindu kush range.

History

The people of the chitral has a very fertile history. They migrated from the central Asia to the south asia, and these people are indo-Iranian. They speak khowar language but are different from the pathan of that region. Other languages whose traces are found there are Persian and sanskrit due to the fact that Persian and Buddhist rulers ruled there. The chitral tribe is also an iron age tribe(600-1200B.C). In 1947 the head of the chitral considered to choose to be a part of the pakistan, since then they are living as the minority of the pakistan in concern to the religion of the people of kalash (a valley in chitral).

Weather

Weather is very harsh there cool in summers and numbing plus super cold in the winters. It falls below the freezing temperature in winters and people are at the risk of loosing their life due to harsh weather. Roads are deadly and narrow, rank number one in the world for that deadly features in the largest mountain range.

Places to visit in chitral:

1. Tirich Mir

It is the highest mountain of the hindu kush range, with a village situated before it called Tirich. This mountain is effortlessly seen from the main bazaar. In the wakhi language the meaning of tirich is darkness and mir means king so called the king of darkness.

This mountain generates long shadows and the scenes of the dawn and dusk are the treat to watch. The people of kalash associate very peculiar tales(polytheist=many gods)to this mountain which concerns our belief system. So muslims instead associate this mountain as the kingdom of the fairies which should not be meant to summit this mountain as it could be deadly to do without taking permission first.

2. Kalash valley and their Folkdance

This lies in the hindukush mountain range with the fertile history of the culture and traditions of the kalash people. They are as white as the European, with blue eyes and blonde hair. They are the talk of the town as if they are the inheritor of the armies of the Greek Alexander.

They hold a festival called chilam joshi in the may, spring season for four days where the males and females of the valley gather on the purpose of finding their partner, they pray for their land and animals and are famous for their folkdance. This festival is very exciting to see and was given the title as intangible cultural heritage in November 2018source
Also the dress of the females that they used to wear is so traditional that increases the chances of a person to travel there.
