We Bought Bicycles

I am glad the week is over. I spent a lot of time on Steemit in the past 7 days and could have made a decent post for Steem Entrepreneurs Challenge. But I am so drained now and have no energy left to deal more with the Engagement Challenge. Haha

Instead, I chose to write about one of the days this week on which I got to spend some time with friends and family.

I think I have been a stay-at-home mom for too long now that I hate stepping out during morning hours. One of the perks of staying in is sleeping in late and preparing and eating breakfast without any haste. I love this lazy morning ritual of mine - a slow start to the day.

However, today there was a farewell party at 11:00 am and I had to do my breakfast hurriedly. I gave a longing look to my morning tea which I couldn't finish but I had to part ways with it as I was getting late.

The weather was pleasant. I reached the destination in 5 minutes and greeted all my friends. We enjoyed the farewell show for two hours and then headed for lunch together in the dining hall. There was Chinese food on the menu and like I always didn't take pictures.

By the time, the party ended, there was a thunderstorm outside which transformed into a light drizzle in a few minutes. The trees and flowers looked so fresh and bright after there was dust washed down by the rain. We took the opportunity to take pictures of ourselves.

I came back home after some time, only to find out that all boys were ready to go bicycle shopping. I changed back into a comfy outfit and went out with my family to the market.

We had been thinking to get a tricycle and a bicycle (with safety wheels) for our kids for some time. My son happily agreed to give away his old tricycle to a needy child. Now it was time for new cycles.

We explored the market and were shocked to see the sky-rocketing rates. After some exploration and bargaining, we managed to get the cycles. We paid 19000pkr (~330 STEEM) for both cycles. The rest of the evening was spent with the kids. I was happy to see them having fun.

I spent some time reviewing posts on Steemit and when it was time for dinner we went out again to the local cafe. It was an animated movie and barbecue night - a perfect family dinner. Although kids forget to eat at such dinners and focus only on playing.

It was a good night out. After coming back home I reviewed some more contest posts but soon I signed off and decided to relax and watch a fun (read stupid) game show on Netflix with my husband. I don't watch game shows usually but this was different than the ones I know about. Its name is Bullsh-t, try watching an episode and let me know what you think about it. XD

That was about my ordinary day which I just shared because I was missing writing something here. I hope to be back with some good content very soon.
