MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES
What Is A Hay?
Hay is a grass that has been cut, dried, and stored, which is evenly ready for animal feed.
I would describe a Hay as a term that is referred mostly to Farmers who tend to gather more produce when the sunshine ⛅ is out.
When The Sun Shines
Most people tend to get engaged in work when the sun shines than when there's rainfall.
Cultivate land, harvest, and planting of crops, all these need to be done when the sun shines.
THE OLD IDIOMATIC EXPRESSION
Make Hay When The Sun Shines
This particular "idiom" has been over the years which has let people understand and realize how to make use of an opportunity when it raises.
For an instance;
Two laborers were assigned work on a farm to harvest 40 tubers of yam each (each person 40to yam =80tbs) The first laborer harvested for a little while and decided to rest. The second laborer took the chance/opportunity and harvested as much produce as possible.
<He made a Hay when the opportunity came>
When conditions are perfect to make use of "we say" Make a Hay while the sun shines
I have at some point in life applied this "idiom" which has helped me manage my time.
