What is Papier Mache :
As the word speakes papier = Paper , Mache = Chewed/pieces so basically papier mache is made up of Paper combined with some other elements.But it’s much stronger and sturdier than it sounds.
Brief History :
Papier mache is famous in Kashmir and was brought there by 8th Sultan of Kashmir.
Its very popular and famous for its beautiful,creative looks and how its made.
The best part of it is its handmade.

Kashmiri papier-mâché is generally in the form of bowls, vases, decorative trays and boxes, among other items. It is hand painted with intricate designs that showcase the Kashmiri art and craft. This artwork is displayed all around the world in exhibitions and is revered by many across the globe. In Kashmir, the art of making papier mache is also taught in the curriculum in some schools.
