What is Ted Talk?
To learn more about Ted Talk, we need to know what Ted Talk is. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the word about innovative ideas and inspiring discoveries around the world, through lectures that last only 16 minutes or so. TED is the initials of three English words: Technology, Entertainment, and Design. However, Ted's scope is not limited to these three topics, but they also try to create new and varied lectures on all possible subjects of science. These lectures are informative as well as inspiring. As a result, as the audience becomes acquainted with new creative ideas, they are also motivated to apply them in their own lives. But there is no way to confuse Ted's speeches with so-called 'motivational speech'.
Why Ted Talk is so popular?
Ted speakers give lectures in front of live audiences through TED conferences in different parts of the world. Almost every one of Ted's lectures is 18 minutes or so long; This means that the time is not too short that the audience will not be able to gain much from them, nor is the time too long that the audience will get bored listening to the lecture continuously. Rather, each lecture spans a period of time from which the audience gets a good idea of a particular subject, while they do not experience the boring time spent in the classroom. That's why Ted's speeches have won the hearts of the audience at the conference, as well as the Internet world in the age of online and social media. Not all of Ted's speeches may be hits, but some of the speeches can have such a deep and powerful emotional connection with the audience that in a short time their videos go viral on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc., gaining tremendous popularity.

Ted Talk Journey
The story of Ted's journey began in 1984, five years before the birth of the World Wide Web. It started as a conference in Monterey, California by Richard Sol Urman. Urman wanted Ted to be the "Ultimate Dinner Party" that he would host. In order to implement this ambitious plan, he invited the best speakers from all over the United States, including Silicon Valley and Hollywood. Nowadays, what is said in TED conferences is usually scripted, and by practicing that script over a long period of time, the speakers are able to present themselves to the audience. But scripting had nothing to do with Urman's actual Ted concept. He wanted the TED conferences to be an "anti-conference" - there would be no annoying PowerPoint slides or one-hour monotonous lectures. Instead, he wanted talented people to take to the stage to share their ideas with others, to talk about things that fascinated and fascinated them. Speakers at the first TED conference in 1974 discussed compact disc production and how it works, and an e-book reader. There was also a presentation by Lucasfilms three-dimensional graphics design and fractal mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot. But despite the presence of all the well-known speakers, Ted's first conference was an economic failure.

Six years later...
Overcoming initial setbacks, Urman again tried to organize a TED conference in 1990, and the first TED speech at the service was in the 18-minute format. In addition, instead of making the service open to all, the conference was limited to the best inventors and talents, which is why getting a TED conference ticket that year became a huge honor for many. The list of speakers at the TED conference continues to grow, and many more are joined, including scientists, philosophers, musicians, businessmen, religious leaders, and philanthropists. At the same time, people's interest in attending the TED conference continues to grow, although it is only limited to a handful of people invited.

The role of YouTube
The biggest contributor to Ted's position today is YouTube. When the idea of online video sharing became popular on YouTube in 2006, Anderson took advantage of it. He started an experimental video podcast called 'Ted Talk'. If that succeeds, he decides to release the best TED conference lectures online for free, titled "ideas worth spreading." Since then, Ted's lectures have been the biggest way to reach the audience online. Everything big online starts with something going viral. That was the case with Ted. The credit for Ted's first viral video went to Sir Ken Robinson. In 2006, he asked, "Do schools kill creativity?" Gave a lecture entitled, which abruptly turned Ted into a topic of discussion for ordinary people. This was Ted's first video to be watched by over a million people, an incredible achievement in those days.
The way speakers are made
One thing you must have noticed is that not all public speakers are the best. Again, it is not always possible for the highest man to stand on the stage and talk in front of hundreds of people about his interests. But in Ted's conferences, we see a very different picture. The speakers there are as highly qualified in knowledge and mind as they are in public. It is natural to ask, how can the TED authorities find people who are incomparable in knowledge and talent, and also have great speaking skills? In fact, TED authorities are more likely to find such people than to 'create' them themselves.

In that case, Ted Curator Chris Anderson himself has a direct role. He chose speakers for his half-yearly TED conferences in Long Beach, California. Some of them may be experienced on stage, speaking in crowded gatherings, but most are outspoken, introverted, having no prior experience of speaking in large gatherings. But we see in the online videos, these people are talking so nicely, there is not much hesitation or discomfort among them. This is possible because they are worked on for several months before the main event. A lot of research was done before writing the script for their lecture, the script was repeatedly edited by experts, and finally, Ted coaches hand-trained them to become fit to speak in front of everyone.

Types of Ted Conference
There are many types of TED conferences. The general TED conference refers only to those conferences which are directly organized by the TED authorities. These conferences are called Ted Conference or Ted Global. However, there are many more conferences held every year under the banner of TED, which is not directly hosted by the TED authorities. Such conferences are called TEDx. Here the English x refers to the independently organized TED conference. If one wants to perform like Ted in one's own university or area, one has to get a license (free) from the TED authorities and follow all the rules of TED. Even in such a conference, the audience gets the same experience as the real Ted conference. TEDx is also being organized in Bangladesh lately. One thing that is strictly adhered to at TED or TEDx conferences is that they never allow a person who believes in a particular ideology to be a speaker. That is, speakers can never speak for religious, political, or special purposes. Neither the organizers nor the TED authorities have to pay any kind of money to anyone else for the license that the organizers have to take to hold the TEDx conference in their own organization or in a specific area. In the same way that the speakers invited to the TEDx conference do not pay the organizers, the organizers do not pay for the speakers. In addition, Ted Aid started its activities in March 2012, with the aim of bringing everyone closer to knowledge by making educational videos on various topics in a very short period of time.
TED effect
Ted’s biggest role is certainly at the individual level, which may not be possible to express by statistics. But without a doubt, watching Ted's videos is changing people's outlook on life, enriching them with new knowledge, and making it easier for them to learn things that would never have been known to them in any other way. In a nutshell, the internet world is full of unnecessary, junk, cheap, and fascinating content, and Ted's videos seem to be providing fresh air for knowledge-hungry people. So whether or not Ted really changes the whole world, it is definitely changing the lives of countless individuals, making it tidier and planned.
