Gracias por la iniciativa @boss75 la cual considero importante para encontrarnos desde la distancia que nos une, solo juntos podemos crecer para fortalecer esta comunidad y mejorar al mundo desde nuestros pequeños espacios creativos.

Thank you for the initiative @boss75 which I consider important to meet from the distance that unites us, only together we can grow to strengthen this community and improve the world from our small creative spaces.

El año 2021 fue de aprendizajes, todo lo que sucede por algún suceso hasta inesperado nos enseña el valor de la vida y con los demás.

The year 2021 was a year of learning, everything that happens because of some unexpected event teaches us the value of life and with others.

Fue, en mi caso, de hechos creativos, escénicos donde pude representar personajes para el teatro y el cine con un tema histórico de nuestros hombres durante la guerra de independencia y posterior a ella. Entre otras cosas, pude adquirir ingresos extras para costear necesidades materiales y básicas.

It was, in my case, of creative, scenic events where I was able to represent characters for theater and film with a historical theme of our men during the war of independence and after it. Among other things, I was able to acquire extra income to pay for material and basic needs.

Escribí un prólogo para ocho obras de teatro para su publicación, facilité talleres de formación teatral con nuevos talentos lo cual produjo amistades, como otros proyectos productivos, y luego retorné a mi ciudad natal en Maracay, estado Aragua para reunirme con mis padres, compartir y hacer las Hallacas, un plato típico en Venezuela para las fiestas de diciembre.

wrote a prologue for eight plays for publication, facilitated theatrical training workshops with new talents which produced friendships, as well as other productive projects, and then I returned to my hometown in Maracay, Aragua State to meet with my parents, share and make Hallacas, a typical dish in Venezuela for the December holidays.

No obstante la pandemia hizo estragos lamentables con pérdidas humanas que han dejado un vacío insustituible. A pesar de ello y con el dolor a cuestas, todo esfuerzo merece la pena para que tenga un lugar sagrado donde poder honrar la memoria de los demás, por lo tanto, encauzamos energías contra las dificultades.

Nevertheless, the pandemic wreaked unfortunate havoc with human losses that have left an irreplaceable void. In spite of this, and with the pain behind us, every effort is worthwhile so that we may have a sacred place where we can honor the memory of others, therefore, we channel our energies against the difficulties.

En la vida, no podemos dejar de seguir pasando las páginas. El año pasado atravesamos por el miedo y todavía resistimos ante un presente cargado de incertidumbres, pero eso nos lleva a reconocer algo que Simón Rodríguez, ilustre maestro del libertador Simón Bolívar, dijo: “Inventamos o erramos”.

In life, we cannot stop turning the pages. Last year we went through fear and we still resist in the face of a present full of uncertainties, but this leads us to recognize something that Simón Rodríguez, illustrious teacher of the liberator Simón Bolívar, said: "We invent or we err".

Así que frente a la adversidad, pudimos visualizar otras formas de encontrarnos, de cuidarnos, de apoyarnos y aceptar una versión sobre los acontecimientos cotidianos de manera inmediata.

So in the face of adversity, we were able to visualize other ways of finding each other, taking care of each other, supporting each other and accepting a version of daily events in an immediate way.

Mis padres sufrieron de COVID, a su vez, la electricidad en varias partes de las regiones de mi país sufrió fallas, y eso nos condujo a reorientarnos en un trayecto de crecimiento constante, buscar estrategias, de nuevas relaciones vecinales y familiares, y contemplar la noche alumbrados por la luna y no por el televisor en la cara.

My parents suffered from COVID, in turn, the electricity in several parts of the regions of my country suffered failures, and that led us to reorient ourselves in a path of constant growth, seek strategies, new neighborhood and family relationships, and contemplate the night illuminated by the moon and not by the TV in the face.

El año 2021, nos hizo ver lo frágiles que podemos ser en cualquier parte del mundo, sin embargo, nos dio el inciso o paréntesis para que también nos diéramos cuenta que se trata de ser más humano, de intensificar lo humano como camino de reflexión capaz de cambiar los argumentos fatalistas y de limpiar la mirada para llevarnos a ver lo que de verdad importa.

The year 2021 made us see how fragile we can be in any part of the world, however, it also gave us the pause or parenthesis to realize that it is about being more human, to intensify the human as a path of reflection capable of changing the fatalistic arguments and clean the look to lead us to see what really matters.

Fue un año duro, hermoso, de logros, de vacíos, de esperanzas, de preguntas que nunca deberíamos dejar de hacernos acerca de lo que somos y nos motiva. Para algunos seguirá siendo “demasiado”; ojalá que este “demasiado” haya tenido más que menos para que la narrativa de la resurrección nos genere algo definitivamente extraordinario en cada uno de nosotros: fe.

It was a hard, beautiful year, of achievements, of voids, of hopes, of questions that we should never stop asking ourselves about who we are and what motivates us. For some it will continue to be "too much"; hopefully this "too much" has had more than less for the resurrection narrative to generate something definitely extraordinary in each of us: faith.
