The bot tree is not just a tree, it is the king of trees, Mahiruha. There are very few trees in the world that are as big as a bot. The leaves of the bot tree do not fall off, they provide shade all year round.
There are various legends surrounding the bot tree in rural Bengal. This tree is also very useful. Someone rests in the shade of a bot, sometimes sitting under a huge bot tree.
