#Excel #spreadsheets will now be more #customizable. With the innovations made, it will now be possible to use images, graphics, geographic content and more.
Recently, #Microsoft #Excel could only enter text and numbers as cellular data. If we look at the announcement made by Microsoft this week at the Ignite 2021 event, users will now be able to add more information types to Excel cells. This successful name in the software world will soon allow users to create their own custom data types containing special content such as images, assets, arrays or formatted number values. A preview of a new #JavaScript #API for Excel will open. Users will also be able to make custom functions that can use these data types as both input and output.
✅Excel spreadsheets can be customized
Microsoft has detailed changes to Excel, among other parts of Office, in a blog post. Published GIFs will be displayed for users who make an Excel chart with a formula-like input. Others show the user dragging locations from a world map into cells in a chart and combining them with formulas within that chart. Microsoft began allowing users to enter their own data as a data type over the past year, and has talked about plans to add more than 100 data types going forward, such as chemistry, elements, food, and more.
