In this article im going to share you some interesting strategies used by top brand to promote there products in the market
1)Puma
In 1970 fifa world cup finals is happening between Brazil and Italy, Brazilian player Pele was the most famous footballer on that time who had strong fan base all over the world.The final match was going to start and players from both the team was on the field and match refree blown the whistle to start the match that time Pele asked 1minute permission from the refree and bowed down to tie his shoe lays that time whole cameras was focused on Pele foot and he was wearing puma shoes.
On that day Brazil won the match along with that one more thing also got viral that is super star player pele is playing football by wearing puma shoes,which boomed puma sales in the market.But people of that time dont know that puma company had given $1,20,000 to Pele and asked him to tie his shoes before the start of the match.This is the most creative marketing campaigns used by puma team to increase their sale.
2)Lifebuoy
There is one religious festival happen in India every year known as Maha kumbamela.During that festival around 10 crores of people will participate to take bath in ganga river and to worship the God.To target those people many brands will do marketing campaign there.Likewise Lifebuoy soap had done one interesting marketing campaign by targeting those people.The main motive of Lifebuoy soap is to publish there message
"wash your hand with lifebuoy before each meal"
They need a medium to publish there message if they printed it in notice and given to the people they will ignore it and will throw it away.So they have choosen alternate medium to publish there message that one is chapathi(Indian bread) we can eat chapathi only through hand.So what they did is they have distributed chapathi for more than 100 shops in the festival and in each chapathi they have printed the message using heat stamp.
"Did you washed your hand with lifebuoy ?"
People who had came to the hotel by seeing the message printed on chapathi they have went to wash their hand for that arrangements are made by the lifebuoy company.The company have arranged 100 teams and distributed around 25lakh of chapathi for this campaign.This campaign had became a hit all over India and lot of MBA colleges in india have recorded this campaign as a case studies for their students.
3) Coco Cola
In 2013 coco cola have placed there vending machine in one of the shopping complex in india likewise they have placed another vending machine in one of the shopping complex in pakistan.They have placed LED screen and camera on both vending machine.So the people from can see the live footage of Pakistan mall likewise Pakistan can see the live footage of India mall.People cannot take coke from that machine by money instead of that they have done another method.The LED screen in india had message " Make friend from Pakistan" likewise in pakistan they had message "Make friend from India".
So people who wished to take coke they have to place there hand on the screen on other side if anyone keep their hand one heart symbol will display on the screen and both of them are need to trace that symbol to get their coke.
This campaign is to forecast the friendship between people of both countries irrespective of their political fight.
4)Mc Donalds
In 2019 April 11 lok Saba election was going on in india that time Mc donalds have done one marketing campaign in India.On that day they have taken order from the customer asked them to wait and for some customer they have given different food other than that they ordered.When customers enquired about it they said that ,you will not get the food you ordered so choose the food which we have given this statement from Mc donalds makes there customers angry and started fighting with them.For that Mc Donalds replied that today is election day you didnt cast your vote so you lost your Rights to choose so you have to eat what we have given.They have delivered correctly for people who casted their vote for those who didnt they asked them to cast their vote before closing the booth .They identified the people by the stain in there finger.In social media this campaign had became viral
5)Red Bull
In 1994 Red bull have decided to launch their company in London that time Coke was the popular soft drink brand,Red Bull was only at there beginning stages. So they dont have budgets to do advertisement so they have planned to use there garbage as an advertisement products.What they did is they filled all the garbage box near the park,Airpots,Railway Station with there empty Red Bull tin.In every garbage box in london was filled with red bull tin like mountain.So people who watched this thought that red bull is famous drink every people in London are consuming it ,only I missed it to drink.So they went to the shop and started buying Red Bull.This strategy of Red Bull increased their sales in London markets .
