Fill a bowl with fresh tap water and put an egg into it .
STEP 2
if the eggs sink to the bottom it is really a fresh egg and safe for use in any recipe
STEP 3
If they float ashore they are not fresh and a potential poisoning to any food they come in contact with and should be thrown away.
