Hello all steemit friends.? How are you today.? I always pray that we are all healthy and happy every day. In my post this time I want to tell you about the moment a few days ago I spent with my family. This is a moment about my family and I celebrating/praying for the seven months of my wife's pregnancy.

The keumaweuh tradition or the Mee Bu tradition (bringing rice/food) is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation in the Aceh (Indonesia) area, this tradition is a form of gratitude to God who has given safety and health to the baby in the womb. The Mee Bu tradition (bring rice/food) is usually carried out during the wife's seventh month of pregnancy and only with the first child, but many still do this Mee Bu tradition in the second pregnancy and after.

The things that are generally brought by the male family to the female family's house are in the form of side dishes, typical Acehnese cakes, fruits and some carry a sarong as a gift. At this Mee Bu event, as a form of gratitude from the family of pregnant women to stay in good health until the time for delivery, the family also urges pregnant women to always consume nutritious food for the baby in the womb. Another goal is to establish friendship between the two families, guests and companions. Pregnant women also consist of women from village officials, such as the wife of the village head, the wife of the hamlet head, and women from other village officials.

This tradition is also accompanied by the ritual of Peusijuk (praying for) pregnant women and their husbands, the aim is that the husband and wife are avoided from calamities and misfortunes during childbirth. The Peusijuk ritual is carried out by the elder family members, then all guests and families present participate to greet the couple by giving money that is put in an envelope as a souvenir.
After the Peusijuk ritual procession is complete, all the families and guests present eat the food and dishes that are available.

That's the activity of the Mee Bu event (bringing food) which is a hereditary tradition in the Aceh (Indonesia) area, how about the traditions in your place? Whatever and however the traditions we do are basically for the same purpose, namely to pray for pregnant women and their families so that they are always in God's protection. Enough of my story on this occasion and thank you I say to steemit friends who have read and who participated in praying for my wife and family.
