Unemployment is the situation where people who are eligible and able to work cannot find job to do. This issue of unemployment is debilitating, an issue that is mostly affecting most developing countries across the globe.
In Ghana the unemployment problem has reached the level of irredeemably heights forcing most young ones into illegal activities to the abhorrence of the societies.
Regrettably, social vices among the youth is in ascendancy, a case that is scarier, if nothing is done now.
The rich survives while the poor disappear" that is the case in Ghana with regards to jobs. Education is almost fast becoming " a zero sum game" both the educated and non educated are suffering the same disease since most graduates are without jobs after investing so much in education.
The aforementioned issues concerning jobs in Ghana has forced Amina, not her real name, a university graduate into street Hawking.
She sells pepper, onions and Garden eggs as her economic activities just to make ends meet.
According to Amina the rising cost of living coupled with
the covid-19 that has worsened the case of joblessness in the country compelled her into her new business.
I would want to suggest to the government to set out a complehensive plan of economic recovery in order to boost the Economy as a whole to reduce the level of joblessness in the country. Thank you
