Hello lover of kids. Trust y'all are doing good. I felt to share this healthy method of preparing noodles specially for kids here. Well today, I and my kid sister prepared this delicious meal together with just one pack of indomie instant noodles. Although, she did about 80% of the work involved in the cooking process. Indomie instant noodles is made from flour. It is enriched with vitamin A, B1, B12, B6, iron and folic acid. Indomie is very high in calories but low in proteins and also fibre. Although, indomie is not a balance diet but it is carbohydrate diet which contain minerals and vitamins.

The ingredients used include;

  • Indomie instant noodles
  • Salt
  • Onions
  • Scent leaf
  • Vegetable oil
  • Egg
  • Crayfish ( instead of the pack season spices)

I skipped using the season powder from the pack because of the spices which is not really good for kids.

Preparation process

Step 1: Egg was washed and boiled for 10 minutes. Grate the onions since sliced onions irritate some kids, crayfish was blend and the scent leaf was sliced into the smallest pieces.

Step 2: Before par-boiling the noodles, it was broken into smaller pieces because my baby sister doesn't like her indomie long.

Step 3: After boiling, the starch was filtered out and the noodles was also rinsed in order to reduce the high effect of starch to human health especially kids.

Step 4: First boil a little water, pour the noodles, let it boil for few minutes before adding the ingredients. When the water dries up from the pot, it means the noodles is ready.

Conclusion

Indomie instant noodles is not all that healthy because it lacks the essential nutrients especially for kids. Indomie contain Monosodium glutamate (MSG) which is harmful to the body, that's why it is advisable to filter the starch out , rinse after boiling. Adding of vegetables and protein example; egg while preparing indomie makes it more nutritious and also reduce the rate of side effect which triggers the toxicity of the MSG.
Secondly, cooking together with children at their young age helps them learn faster and makes them independent.
Thank you for going through my post.
