welcome everyone reading this post to the new year and the steemit challenge week 6, season 14.
I checked through all the topics for this week's challenge and I saw welcome as part of the topics for this week challenge immediately fell in love with this topic because it's a crucial topic for the New season, once again I'll welcome us to the new year, welcoming is a norm both in the Western world and the whole world at Large use to receive people, individual personality and a larger gathering. Welcome is the first word that is been said by someone which shows your warm reception to that particular place. This sound makes you feel at home and comfortable, that's why we see in most of the events in the world there's always a welcome speech.
The keyword "Welcome" is a friendly word used as a salutation, reception, or greeting that is extended to a guest or someone entering a place or joining a group. It expresses a heart of hospitality, acceptance, and an invitation for the individual to feel at home and comfortable. In other words "welcome" is a way of showing a positive gesture that conveys a positive response towards a new thing or the arrival of someone.
In English language, Welcome is a verb a friendly word in English grammar that serves as a cool reaction of approval of something and constructive feedback and it's also a way of giving a go-ahead in carrying out a project or an operation. Welcome makes an individual feel important, respected, and special and gives a platform for interaction that can solve a problem.
The keyword "welcome" gives a platform to share ideas to solve problems and it was once said that "ideal rules the world", a lot of problems have been solved today as a result of warmth welcoming, and reception.
Welcoming gives a conducive environment for learning and growth. when you are in a place where you can function well and free to do anything, you tend to be more productive and your intellectual abilities will be more functional because you are welcomed where you find yourself.
Welcoming helps build strong relationships, especially in the business world, when you welcome your clients properly he/she feels accepted and feel at home and it can be assured that 80 Percent of that conversation will yield a positive result.
Good welcoming is a way of appreciation, especially on the note of receiving a special guest in an event, welcoming shows a warm reception of that particular individual.
Welcoming is a good way to start a conversation, meeting, class, or event and it gives a first impression of the person you are dealing with or having conversations with there's also a saying that first impressions last longer.
We have several ways of welcoming in the world today and I will list some now.
Standing ovation
Handshake
Offering of refreshments
Warm greetings
Through introduction
STANDING OVATION: Standing ovation is a popular way of welcoming someone both in the Western world and in the world at Large, it's done in such a way that everyone stands up with a round of applause to welcome some set of people or a particular individual.
HANDSHAKE: Handshaking is a common way of greeting and welcoming someone, it's done between two parties with a great smile on their faces and the more firm the handshake is the more sincere it looks.
OFFERING REFRESHMENTS:Giving refreshments is an ancient practice especially in West Africa where I come from, when a guest is been given a proper refreshment it shows that the person is highly welcomed to that house or environment.
WARM GREETINGS: Offering a warm greeting is an act of showing a sincere welcoming gesture to a guest with a great smile on our face.
RESPECT THEIR SPACE: This is usually done when we have a guest who is a speaker, we respect their space by giving them maximum attention and concentration while they are speaking.
The purpose of welcoming is to make our guest feel at home and with this nice gesture he will be free to deliver the appropriate information he/is meant to deliver and welcome a guest also extending a genuine greeting, providing helpful information, and showing consideration for the guest's comfort, you can create an atmosphere that not only invites them in but also makes them feel appreciated and valued throughout their stay or visit. Remember, the small gestures of hospitality can leave a lasting impression, contributing to a positive and memorable experience for your guests.
