A very easy way to prepare your rice and beans, jollof

Hello everyone, and special greetings to all the Steemians. It is another day on the platform as I write this article about the easy way to prepare rice and bean jelly here in the Steem Kids and Parents community.

Rice and beans jellof Is my favorite, as I learned to cook it very well in high school. Rice gives carbohydrate, while beans give protein to the body. I love this food and also wish to teach it today.

In order to cook this food, I had to first go to the market to get all the raw materials needed for the food. So when I woke up this morning at about 6:00 am, I freshened up and moved straight to the market to get things needed to cook my delicious meal, which we will be looking at in detail.


Ingredients Used:

As I earlier said, an easy way to cook rice and beans (jollof) is what we will be looking at. Having said that, let's take a look at the necessary ingredients below.

  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Fresh pepper
  • Crayfish
  • Sachet Tomato
  • Groundnut Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices
  • Maggi
  • Onions

After you have finished getting all the necessary ingredients ready as shown above, your next step should be preparing your ingredients. In order to prepare your ingredients, follow the steps below.

  • Wash and slice your onions and keep them aside.
  • Wash and grind fresh pepper and keep aside.
  • First, parboil the beans before adding the rice, then sew, wash, and keep aside.
  • Grind crayfish and keep aside.
  • Unwrap the Maggi cubes and open the sachet tomatoes.

Cooking Steps

Now, after preparing all your ingredients as shown above, your next step should be cooking. Below are the cooking steps that I used.

Step1: Put a dry pot on the fire, pour groundnut oil inside, and allow it to heat.

Step2: After that, you pour all the ingredients, including your tomatoes, into the hot pot of oil and stir for 10 minutes.

Step 3: I add a little water and close the pot.

Step4: After 5 minutes, I opened the pot again and poured in my boiled beans and rice.

Step5: This is the last step, as I waited for 20 minutes for my food to be ready.

In total, I used 45 minutes to cook this food, and it was served hot. Thanks to all who came through my post, and I hope to see you again in my next post.
