What does neglect of responsibilities mean in a family.

Neglect in of responsibility in the family has to do with the failure of the family members to carry out their obligations or functions which they ought to do in the family (it can also termed abandoning your primary duty in the family). The family is made up of the father, mother and children. Each of them have duties which the must perform for the unity, peace and progress of the family. For instance it is the primary duty of the father to see to the general provision and protection of the family. The mother has a major function of caring for the household which includes preparing and seeing to it that everymen of the family eat healthy meals, seeing to it that the children clothing are neat and clean, making sure that the house is always clean neat tidied and a place that someone can relax. Infact, it is the mother’s duty to make the home a place to be desired. The children also have responsibilities in the family which ranges from the helping in house chores to running errands for the parents. Again the fathers and mothers have the responsibility of teaching the children morals and family values such as hardwork, contentment, respect, honesty and so forth.

When every member of the family is committed to carrying out these responsibilities, these will be family stability and progress. However, observation of functionings in many families shows that all the parties mowed have failed their most of their duties separation among spouses even when they are living in the same apartment most children are disobedient to parents, and most parents especially fathers exhibit selfishness, carrying why for their own needs and abandoning the needs of other members of the family some parents neglect the training of their children academically, socially releliginsly and otherwise. When these set of children grow up, they become, (except God through another person's intervenes) , nuisances violence, malatynsted and a problem to the family and society. Hence neglect of responsibility in the family is a serious matter that should be discouraged.

Have you been neglected or seen anyone neglected? What are the effects on the kids.

A person I can’t really say that that I had been neglected through there were instance where my parents refused to attend to my needs as a result of some disagreements. I have equally seen some children that have been neglected by their parents.

The effects on the kids is better imagined then experienced. Some of the children are school dropout because their parents refused to pay their fees. Some children are seen begging or even stealing in order to eat because their parents have not provided food for them to eat.

Your advice to parents who neglect their responsibilities toward their kids.

My advice to parents is to make a U-turn. Invest in your children’s life today start from fulfilling your duty as a parent to your kids, because if you perform your duties well in the life of this children, tomorrow you will laugh.

Your advice to the kids who are neglected.

Is for them to commit their situation to God Almighty who knows how to turn things right. Secondly they should check themselves if it in there behavior that cause their parents to abandon them. And go to them for forgiveness.

Finally I also urge the neglected kids not to join bad groups but rather discuss their fate with some person’s who may have compassion on then. These may include extended family members.
