The healing story: Forgiveness unites family

Forgiveness is often seen as one of the acts of love and reconciliation. In the family text, forgiveness serves a tool for unity and healing also growth. It is a force that can mend broken relationships, and promotes deep connection amongst family members.
In the act of forgiveness lies empathy, understanding and the willingness to let go of past grudges. It is not about taking in past actions or forgetting the pain, but it is about choosing to release the burden of anger and resentment in order to move forward with a sense of peace and harmony

A true life story

In my home town, there are two brothers who for many years had beef between themselves. It was all about the family business. It was so bad that the close bond they shared as siblings got torn apart. Years after years past the rift only got worse as the years passed. At family gatherings they would display their anger that their parents didn't know what to do about their rift.

One fateful day, their father fell seriously ill, as he was in the hospital his condition didn't get better it was at that point that one of the brothers started feeling remorseful and realized that the hate and fight was causing more harm than good and he reached out to his younger brother and tender a heartfelt apology and the younger brother was moved by his brother's sincerity.

After reconciliation they sat beside their father and old wounds began to heal and it was replaced by understanding and forgiveness. They both understood what letting go of the past and embracing forgiveness and its healing means. The following days they lost their ill father and they both came together just to give him a befitting burial because they were not opportune to do that while he was breathing. By then they realized that forgiveness wasn't just a gesture of kindness it was a key of their family's unity and resilience.

In conclusion
To forgive is not always a bed of roses neither is it a one time event. It always requires humility and to let off ego and pride. Forgiveness always brings in healing, reconciliation and a brighter future for all.
In a family, forgiveness serves as a hope guiding us towards greater understanding, compassion and love. It is also a reminder that no matter how deep the wounds are it is never too late to extend a hand of forgiveness and embrace its power of healing.

I'd like to invite my friends @favou @taiwo777 @jewel005 to join in this contest. I'd love to see your entries.

Note:

You have make a good write up for this contest to forgive what anyone as done to you most especially your relatives and friends will make your heart feeling good and be able to interact with people.

Yes thank you for stopping by!

To forgive is not always a bed of roses neither is it a one time event. It always requires humility and to let off ego and pride.

Forgiveness truly requires humility. One who is proud and full of ego would not see the need to forgive and would only continue to hold on to the hurt he/she feels and might possibly want to get a revenge .

An educative write-up you have here. All the best, friend.

Thank you so much

Love keeps no record of wrongs and it works hand in hand with forgiveness.

It is always advisable to forgive that person that hurt you because when you hold on to bitterness and unforgiveness , bear it in mind that it isn't hurting the offender but you.

Unresolved bitterness is an anchor that doesn't just hold you back , it drags you down too.

The longer you hold on to that abuse , betrayal, rejection and injustice the farther you will be from your destiny.

Forgiveness is a choice and an act of obedience to God. Make it a choice to always forgive. Goodluck
