Because severe parents tend to impose a rigid structure of rules on their children, strict parenting is often referred to as the authoritarian parenting style. Parents expect their children to accept rules without question in a tight family. While tough parenting is necessary at times, especially when it comes to matters such as your child's safety, applying this kind of parenting in all aspects of your child's life can lead to problems.
Many parents feel that severe parenting will result in increased parental control, increased child respect, and a strong foundation of respect.
Finding tactics that work for our children's unique personalities, as well as our own, individual lives, is frequently a challenge when it comes to parenting our children. After looking at the various parenting methods, it appears that rigid parenting has a number of drawbacks. When a child is raised by a strict parent, the focus is typically on how to make the parent happy enough to'stay out of trouble,' rather than attempting to create a pleasant, healthy home environment oriented on the child's needs. The following are some of the drawbacks of rigorous parenting:

After looking at the various parenting methods, it appears that rigid parenting has a number of drawbacks. When a child is raised by a strict parent, the focus is typically on how to make the parent happy enough to'stay out of trouble,' rather than attempting to create a pleasant, healthy home environment oriented on the child's needs. The following are some of the drawbacks of rigorous parenting:
Growing up with strict parents might make children feel as if they have an unloved and unacceptable part of themselves. It is exceedingly harmful to be in an atmosphere where a young child is subjected to harsh penalties and boundaries that are so stringent that they seem unachievable. This is not a healthy atmosphere for a youngster to grow up in.
Children with strict parents are more likely to suffer from depression because they feel nervous and dissatisfied in their own homes.
A strict parent usually sets boundaries without showing empathy. Rules must be followed blindly and frequently without explanation. As a result, children are unable to express negative feelings such as frustration.
When a child is reared in a strict family where they are yelled at and controlled, they learn that it is OK for someone to bully them, and as a result, they are more likely to become bullies themselves.
When a child is raised by strict parents, he or she rapidly learns that if they follow, their lives will be made simpler and their relationship with their parents will be maintained. That goes a great way toward teaching students that they must be acceptable rather than allowed to think for themselves. According to Aha Parenting, children "learn to obey, but not to think for themselves," which means their self-esteem suffers greatly.
Strict parents maintain complete control over all decision-making, resulting in children who are significantly less confident than they should be and who are unable to make their own decisions regarding the things that have the greatest impact on their life.
In a strict family, parents tend to parent in an authoritarian manner, with regulations in place for every part of a child's life. This can lead to rebellion since youngsters are not given the opportunity to learn right from wrong while living under a tight rule system. They don't absorb self-discipline since they've only been trained to follow rules and haven't been taught to manage themselves. When Mom and Dad aren't around to tell the child what to do, he or she may act rashly without thinking about the implications to himself or others.

Harsh parenting is very bad for kids as its lead to fear and the kids not able to express the way they feel to the parents. They become strangers to their parents.
