I hesitated before responding, and my confusion and surprise were evident. Finally, I replied with a simple "Yes",
but the question lingered in my mind and occupied my thoughts all night.
"Am I really interested in my life?"
"Why did my son ask me this question?"
"How can a person be interested in their life?"
"What is interest? And what is life?"
This question perplexed me and kept me awake at night. It became apparent that my son was more interested in my life than I was, which is why he asked me this profound question that I had never pondered before.
