Recreation review || farming

Greetings to my fellow steemians and to everyone in this community, I am @emmaboy23 and i would like to thank and appreciate @steemkidss for choosing me as one of the winners of last week contest and I have also come once again to participate in this week contest titled recreation review. Many have activities which they do during their free time and some may even be surprised when I say I do farming during my free time.

When people hear the word farming their mind goes to how stressful and difficult the activity is, yes I will say it is very stressful but it also has it advantages. My family has this little piece of land which we have successful put into doing farm and cultivation of plants, and it has helped us a lot. This farm was made not only by me but by everyone in our family as it was a collective effort to ensure that we achieve it.

Now when talking about going to farm one must need certain tools and equipment to do such farm work like hole, shovel, rake, cutlass etc. But due to the evolvement of technology, it has made farming activities easier for someone with the help and aid of machines such as tractors and the others.

When I was little I would see my dad sometimes doing farm work and he would be sweating and be looking dirty and I would ask my self why does he likes doing it. I never knew then that it was what brought food to our table and helped us survive then and up till now. As I grew up and realized the good and the importance of Such activity so i joined him in doing it. Even though I do it most times for the provision it gives me, I also sometimes find my self enjoy doing the activity.

On Sundays, I usually have free time a lot and instead of wasting it doing nothing its either I write a post in steemit but most times what I do is to farm. This activity has gotten used to me that it has become my hobby every Sunday and it has produce meaningful result. Some result which I can tell you is the growth of our water leaves plant, corn plant which we just recently planted, yam, vegetables and pawpaw etc. All these plants and fruits are what we have gotten out of our farm and it has helped in the past and the following years to come.

I want us to stop putting fear in our mind when we think about doing farm work because most times you learn by what you are doing and this activity is a practical one which you can learn a lot from if you are serious. I would like to invite @mesola, @goodybest and @saintkelvin17 to participate
