Good Evening lovely people. My fellow Steemians in STEEM kids and parents I really love to share my daily activities here. Most times, I explore other's posts in order to learn and grow. I find it pleasant to share with you on how today was with me; and I understand how important quality posts are to this great community and I will appeal for pardon if this particular one doesn't align with the pattern needed. But I can't control the joy that we actually visited my mother in the village.

My siblings and I based in Uyo city. in Akwa a Ibom State e of Nigeria. Last year December, it was not easy for us and so we could not travel to the village to see our parents, especially my mother. She has been calling and wishing we visit her. However, she understood the economy situation of the country and she did not put any more pressure on us.
This week, we agreed that we should pay her a surprise visit. My sister and I went to the supermarket and bought some few items. We couldn't have visited her with empty handed but as God will have His way, we had some money to acquire those items.
We went there on Sunday 5th and we spent six good days with her. Within the days, we assisted her in some domestic works and farmwork preparation. "You cannot take farmwork away from people in the village of Akwa Ibom State, no matter the time of the year". My mother was not exempted.
My siblings were very happy to be in the village and it was very obvious. Although I had to endure so many obstacles like poor network, lack of constant electricity, sun-flies and mosquitoes, but I must confess I really enjoyed the village.
My siblings took photographs as something to remain for their visit to the village. I assisted them in taking the pictures. Here are my siblings showing how happy they were in the village.
My mother was very happy. The gifts we offered her was insignificant because our presence was enough for her. I can't count how much we ate, because my mother nearly killed us with too much food. I am adding weight because of her. She will persuade you to eat even when you don't want to. I love her so much and believe my siblings also do.
That was how we spent the visit in the village and I am looking forward to seeing her again. This time we may not wait until the end of the year although we have been communicating, but I will try to visit her from time to time.
