Weekly contest 14// The dairy game // Pre - resumption (11/9/2024)

Greetings dearest steemains all over the globe. It's your favorite girl @enyddy. How are you all doing? I hope all is doing well. I thank the God Almighty for yet another day that He was has made and has privilege us to see. I feel delighted to be part of this contest and I really want to appreciate @m-fdo for this opportunity.

The season of resumption of schools is upon us, and most of us if not all knows how it is. So I want to share the day of our pre - resumption with you. I must say, the thought of knowing that the holiday is gradually coming to an end was not funny at all. The waking up early in the morning, preparing the kids for school and rushing to your own place of work as a teacher is not a child's play.

Pre- resumption are the days set aside for only the staff of a school or an organization to resume before the actual date of resumption. Aiming at tidying the classrooms, the school environment, the offices and the equipments clean and ready for used, as the lesson notes are also writing down by the teachers, getting set to receive the pupils at resumption.

Having the thought of pre-resumption flowing through my mind, I couldn't sleep well, as I will be waking several times before morning. When it was 4:30am, I could no longer sleep. I then got up after saying my morning prayer and i started preparing for the day. Since it was a cool morning, rain was actually falling , I boiled water for bathing with the hot plate since there was NEPA light. After making breakfast, taking my bath and also making sure that children had theirs, we set for breakfast after which I left for work with the help of the umbrella because it was raining.

We the staff were so happy seeing each other in good health after a month plus of holiday. We exchange pleasantries and have some discussions of long time no see 🤣, also anticipating which class we will be shared into, and how we will be dealing with kids who have stayed for more than a month at home.

After all the gist we were all set to clean the our various classes after the head teacher had arrived, and provided everybody with detergent and cleaning equipment. And being that the place was locked for so long, believe me we had work today do. It was the work of the assistant to clean the class, but because of how dirty the place was, I couldn't wait for my assistant to arrive, couple with the fact that she wasn't feeling well. I swept the classroom, arrange he seats while waiting for my class assistance to come.

In a short while, my class assistant arrived the school, and since I had swept the class already, it was easier for her to mop quick and in no time she had finished and it was time to go.

We all left to our different destination. On reaching home, I tried to settle in and prepare lunch for them. In a short while, it was time to go to church for our communion service which normally begins by 5pm. All dressed, we step out, enter a tricycle and off we go. We spend much time on the road before we arrived because of dropping and picking of passenger that the driver did. But thank God we arrived safely and the service was so impactful. We share in the Lord's table and we finally dismissed by past 8pm. Reaching the house it as like past 9pm in the evening. Everyone was exhausted, as we had our dinner and slept off.
