Hello dear amazing freinds of the steemkidss community, it is a pleasure to be back again with you guys to participate in this week's food challenge by @steemkidss. I really missed this series of contests, and I am so happy to participate.
Today though I prepared a very common and simple meal in Nigeria today:
The Jollof rice
This is sometimes my favorite food and I will always love it.
Here are the ingredients for the food:
- Rice
- Spices
- Tin tomatoes
- Onions
- Pepper
- Crayfish
- Seasoning cubes
- Salt
- Vegetables like carrots Green peas.
- Ripe plantain
- Groundnut oil

Alright so we have gotten the ingredients ready, and then we move straight to the preparation of the meal.
Preparation
- First if all I decide to make the paste, with the tomato, so to do that I get a plate and put the paste in a plate, then I mix it with all the ingredients and spices together in that same space in the bowl without. And mix thoroughly together. I prefer this process than the usual.

- meanwhile I begin to bring out the rice and parboil it.

- Next is to prepare the jollof rice. So I first of all dry the pot of water and then put the groundnut oil, and salt. Then I put the onions.

- After that I put the mixture of the tomato paste inside and stir thoroughly till it boils.

- Next then I put water inside it. Then leave it for some time to Boil
 |  |

- Then you put the parboiled rice into the water mixture and allow the water to dry.

- Once it is done, the jollof rice is ready
You can then add the veggies and fried ripe plantain to taste.

It doesn't take much though and it is then done.
