Here it goes:

(It has been 1 year now, Lydia and Johnson had gone out together a couple of times and as a result have developed an attraction for each other, now they all come back and Lydia who prefers to stay in the maid room with Mary, is skipping with joy)

Mary: Lydia, what's going on, why the extremely happy face?

Lydia: You won't believe what I am going to tell you, get inside dear.

Mary: ha! Ok o, (she said as her mother's Yoruba Ascent was still in her, the enter inside) Lydy so what is this good news. Hmm

Lydia: Johnson and I went to a dinner party today, then he suddenly cornered me and began to list how far our relationship has gone and, and (looking at Mary expectantly)

Mary: And what? O I get it he proposed to you and wow you accepted.

Lydia : Exactly, I can't just stop remembering,I feel like I am on top of the world girl, just it a look at the ring, it is made from pure gold I confirmed it myself, with the phone he still bought for me, take a look.

Mary: wow! Let me see,it's so pretty

Lydia: Tomorrow, he is going to take me to a family friend of theirs he says that they've been good to them

Mary: (Thinking deeply) Does his parents know about this?

Lydia: Oh come on why not? As a matter of fact they went with us to the party. (Lydia said still looking at her Ring)

Mary: hmm, lucky you, but take note, my turn is coming

Lydia: Alright, but what about this evenings meal, we haven't prepared.

(The next day, Johnson took Lydia to the house of their family friend, it was an old couple though and they looked really friendly, Johnson arrived with Lydia and knocked on the door, joy opened the door)

Joy: Oh my God!! Johnson what a surprise visit it's been a while

Johnson: I know ma, good afternoon ma

Lydia: Good afternoon ma'am

Joy: Afternoon, and I can see you brought a girl along huh.(Johnson and Lydia looks at each other and smiles, while Paul Lydia's dad quickly comes out)

Peter: Johnson, my boy, how are you, please have a sit

Johnson: Thank you sir and ma

Peter: You unusually bring a girl along huh

Johnson: Hmm, I actually came here for you to meet my fiancee Lydia. (He said moving his right hand towards Lydia)

Peter: Oh really, Johnson is becoming a really big boy, congrats Lydia, I assure you that my boy here is a good man, tell me about yourself, how did you meet him dear?

Johnson: um,let's not ask her awkward questions please, she won't want it talk about it

Lydia:(referring to Johnson) I am fine dear (now referring to Paul) I am nobody of Great importance, just a mere housemaid that I am, I don't know why he decided to pick me from all of other girls, I feel really gifted, to have a guy like Johnson, whom I love with all my heart

Johnson: oh my love

Peter: that's really nice of him, you mentioned being a housemaid, how did you get to that level.

Lydia: (sobbing quietly) I was brought up by my aunt and uncle, Grace and Paul, they were good to me, u did not know that they had sold me since I was two years old, and when I got to 12 years old, I was then sold, I was sold to a family who treated me harshly, but then I ran away, but was kidnapped and I found myself as a kitchen maid in Johnson 🏠 house.

Peter: did you say Paul and Grace, why is your saw name dear.

Lydia: Normally my aunt told me I was to answer Lydia madukwe, but because my parents were no more, I have to answer Lydia ikechukwu. (Peter quickly gets up, and exclaims, he is speechless, Lydia is confused and joy who is also shocked finnally speaks up)

Joy: MY LOVE, YOU ARE OUR LITTLE DAUGHTER, LYDIA, WHOM WE GAVE OVER TO YOUR AUNT AND UNCLE

Lydia: What??????, How I don't get it

Joy: I know you won't remember you were only two then, when we lived there in Lagos, we were so poor, we lived in serious poverty that we could hardly eat to live, we couldn't feed you, and we loved you and did not want you to die, so we gave you over to your aunt and uncle to take care of in Abuja, we then went back to Lagos, before we knew it a natural disaster struck and we had to relocate, quickly, it was Johnson's family that helped us, I hope you can forgive us.

Lydia: (trying to digest everything, comes to the fact, that she is facing the truth) ok, then, my aunt just (begins to cry as Johnson consoles her)
(Soon the whole matter is solved and Lydia reconciled with her parents, they went back to the marriage talk)

Paul: so how far has your relationship gone?

Johnson: I proposed to her, yesterday

Paul: This means you are preparing for marriage, have you set the marriage date?

Johnson: We haven't but we will

Paul. Alright congrats to Johnson my boy, and my lost but found daughter Lydia.

Lydia: Thanks Dad
