Introduction
Grassroot crypto education volume 4 has come to an end and for another time, we have received great articles on the homework task as participants have shown a great understanding of the context. Some of the participants would get some rewards for standing out as announced by the community, thanks to the management.

Overview of Cryptography
Let's quickly give ourselves a flashback about cryptography as discussed in the lecture. Cryptography is a technology used for secure communication between individuals while having the content hidden from outsiders. Cryptography is one of the technologies employed in cryptocurrency and this makes some of the features of crypto achievable.
Private-key encryption is the type that involves the use of a secret key for both encryption and decryption while public-key encryption is the type that utilizes a public key for encryption and private key for decryption, and as such, only the legit participants have access to the information. Hash functions is another thing to talk about as a type of cryptography that ensures that inputs are irreversible from the outputs, as such, stored information is safe.
Observations
Structure of the Content
A few users have to improve the structure of their content by quality presentation, long paragraphs that seem unending should also be avoided. Students should learn to make sizeable paragraphs that focus on a particular point and make detailed as possible, if you can't finish it in the paragraph you can proceed to the next one. In addition, a few users still need to learn how to apply markdown to improve the appearance of their content to the readers.
Originality
As much as we have many users that have properly handled their entries and stayed original. A case of plagiarism was still recorded which is unacceptable on Steemit, it dents the proof of brain. I suggest students should visit the achievement 3 again in the newcomers' community to learn more about staying original and producing their own genuine content.
Club Status
It's impressive how kids have stayed glued to #club5050 and others. I was amazed to see a student who was not qualified last week strived so hard to hit the club status again. This would go a long way to maintain a healthy ecosystem and these great minds have shown their commitment to the Steem blockchain, they are worth being a part of it right from this tender age.
Participation in the Homework Task
For volume 4 of grassroot crypto education, we received a total of 6 entries. A total of 5 entries are valid while
an article is found to be plagiarized. In essence, we are two entries short of the previous week when we had 7 entries and all were valid. Let's take a look at the table below to see how kids have participated.
S/n | Username | Status |
---|---|---|
1 | @ronindboss | Invalid |
2 | @sheban | Valid |
3 | @vonne | Valid |
4 | @madilyn02 | Valid |
5 | @chimeroselam | Valid |

Statistics of Participation
From the details above, the @ronindboss entry was invalid because of an act of plagiarism. And again this week, the performance of the kids is impressive, having two main valid categories, that is Excellent and Very good. Let's see the table below.
Rank | Username | Scores | Link |
---|---|---|---|
1 | @madilyn02 | 10 | Link |
2 | @bossj23 | 9.75 | Link |
3 | @vonne | 9.75 | Link |
4 | @chimeroselam | 8.75 | Link |
5 | @sheban | 8.75 | Link |
From the table above, @madilyn02, @bossj23, and @vonne took the top three spots respectively. Congratulations to them, as announced by the community earlier, these ones would be supported with 100% upvotes from the community's account. Cheers! This is a good start to rewarding top spot occupants and it would get better along the line. Thanks to the community.
Conclusion
The efforts of the kids in the previous volume is awesome and I know this is just the tip of the iceberg. Take note that only kids that have not been participating in the Steemit Crypto Academy are the ones allowed to write entries that would be graded in grassroot crypto education as we won't want to divide the Academy into parts. A new lecture is running already, it can be accessed here and I look forward to your participation. Thank you.
