MY ACTIVITIES FOR THE DAY OF 19TH NOVEMBER

Dear Diary nothing really much happened today. When I woke up from sleep, I prayed, brushed my teeth and took my bathe to prepare for school. Now dressed up with my sister we are ready to go to school.

School was interesting today. After the morning Assembly we had Yoruba studies, so the Class Captain went to call the Yoruba teacher, when she came she asked the class who had gotten the Yoruba Literature book, few members of the class brought out theirs. The Literature book is entitled Moremi, she told those who don’t have the Literature book to go into the field and kneel down under the hot sun around 8.30am in the morning till break time which is 11:20. Some teachers met her and beg on our behalf but she refused, so we decided to play.

We were like who is going to pretend that he or she has fainted so that any of the Teacher's seeing us will quickly release us from that punishment. But non of the Teachers paid attention to us. After that we decided to sing some songs like bloody Samaritan, bounce etc. After she was through with teaching she came to us and asked us to promise that by the next class we will have the Literature book. As for me, I am not planning on buying the book because the term is almost gone and we will start exams in less than two weeks from today and I cant read the Yoruba language, because that is not my native tongue but I am looking forward to learn the language for future purposes.
