Hello Steemkids friends, happy to be with you again to participate in this drawing contest. I hope we are all doing well?

In this contest we are asked to draw a Lion and answer the following questions;

• Describe a Lion?
• What qualities does a Lion possess?
• Have you seen one before? If yes, where?
• Are they important to man?

I will start be drawing the lion in steps;

Step one

The head and face

I started by drawing the U shape, connect the U shape with a wavy line and a triangle shape for the nose. Two curves line above and below the nose, two eyes and few dots under the nose followed by mane. By drawing a big wavy circle around the head and two ears inside the mane.

Step 2

The body and feet

I draw two curves shape for the body, two back legs and feet.

Step 3

The tail

I finally draw the tail and the painting which is the final stage.

Describe a Lion

Lion is the strongest animal which lives I jungle and they are known as the "king of jungle". The lion belongs to the cat family and they are courage to stand for what they believed.

Lions are aggressive, prepared and dependable. Their roars are loud and are not scared away by their enemies.

What qualities does a Lion possess?

🔺 Lions are protective - they protect their young one and their territory from the adversaries.

🔺 Lions are willing to fight to protect their mate and food.

🔺 Lions are bold and stand what they believed.

🔺 Lions are hunters, they scavenge for food, kill other animals to protect themselves from danger.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

I have not seen lion physically before except on paper and television.

Are they important to man?

Lions play a crucial role in controlling the plant-eating animals by killing them to a balance number in the ecosystem.

In conclusion, lions are very aggressive and intimidating that is why they are living very far from man.

I remember a story about a Lion who was very sick and hungry. When other animals heard about it decided to pay the lion a visit. Every of the animal that went to visit the lion didn't come out alive, the lion kill and ate them except the tortoise who refused to go and greet the lion. The tortoise observed from the sand that all the foot of animals that went in to see the lion did not come out. And the tortoise refuse to go inside to avoid be killed by the lion.
