Contest Challenge for week#5: Draw a Chicken

Hello amazing members of steemkids community, I m happy to join in this week's contest of @ngoenyi. In this contest, I will be drawing a chicken, but let's talk a chicken a little.

Describe a chicken?

A chicken is a two legged bird. I call it a bird because it possesses the characteristics of a bird. However, it is a domestic bird. Chickens can be of local type or agric ( commercial) type.

The local type of chicken can sleep anywhere at night, it can eat anything that comes it's way, it can survive under various environmental conditions. But for the commercial ones that are reared, you need to have a constructed nest. They feed on commercial feeds. This means that you must provide them with water and feeds constantly, and that accounts for why they are far more bigger in size than the local type.

What do you like about a chicken?

A chicken crows, so I like the crowing of a chicken. Another thing I like about it is that it can come in different colors perfectly mixed. I really like seeing their color mixing.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

Chickens are everywhere in my neighborhood. Infact, when I was a child, my parents maintain a poultry both for egg production and meat production for commercial purpose. The ones for meat are called broilers while the ones for eggs are called layers.

Are they important to man?

Chickens are very useful to man. They provide meat and eggs which is very important to every household. The meat is recommended for those who want to avoid red meat. If you maintain a commercial poultry, the chicken poo poo is normally swept and packed every week and they serve as a very good source of manure for growing vegetables, etc. It enriches the soil.

I am using this opportunity to encourage anyone who can try to invest in poultry business if you can. Everything about it is useful to man.
