Home Visitation of our Pupils

I am a public school teacher for 6 years. I usually do home visitation if the pupil is not active at school for days. Today, with my co-worker, we find the house of our pupils without sketch. It is very hard to trace their place without a complete address.

The weather is cloudy and the road is muddy. We just walk from school to somewhere and follow some patterns that might led us to their house. I chatted through facebook messenger with other parents and si with my company this afternoon. We went to different area until a parent of Mam Grace chatted on facebook messenger that they are neighbors with the pupils we are looking for.

For almost an hour of walking between barangay Masulog and Sudtunggan, we found their house. Unfortunately, their parents were not home and her sister is ashame to go out. Suddenly, rain pours and we were at the door waiting for someone to entertain our request.

This is the saddest part of home visitation. Some residents in the house will not welcome us to go inside. It's raining already but we keep on waiting until her sister went out their room to answer our queries. Her sister is still a minor and can't answer our important questions. We found the two pupils playing around and didn't mind to go back to school. The parents may be don't have time to follow up how was their children at school.

For me, I will not let the pupil pass the periodical is she didn't deserve it. How many times I did my best to help the pupil but all of the effort is useless. We went back to school unanswered questions. This is our life as a teacher.
