What is the meaning of co-education ?
Co-education is a system of education where male and female students are being taught together in the same school. In other words, its where both sexes are in the same college or rather in the same classes. It is also known as a joint or mixed gender education.
Which education you will prefer for your kids ? Coeducational centres or all boys /all girls educational centres ?
We already know the meaning of co-education from the above explanation. Let's get to know the meaning of the other term. An all boys school is a place where only boys are taught. It is also a place where they share and focus on their intellectual, physical,social and emotional aspect of young boys. It is more likely to explore their strength and interests. This is likewise in all girls educational centers.
So, if I have my own kids in the future, I would prefer my children to attend an co-educational center. My reason is because in a coed classroom, the students feel comfortable to bring up questions of any kind and share it. They also share equal rights, responsiblities, greater participation in school activities, more social networking skills, male/female equality, etc.
How does Coeducational centres play role in developing personality of a child ?
Education has a remarkable impact which it plays in the life of a child which makes their personalities shaped. In co-educational center, they might not have a particular subject about boys or girls, but when they learn together, they also learn about each other and this affects the personality of the kid. In a coed center, it also helps to develop their social skills, teamwork, integrity, co-operation, improve their interaction and promotes a diverse atmosphere that matches with the real world environment. It also enhances understanding and makes they students to be open-minded. Lastly, it makes them to be bold and brave and also express their ideas in a diverse way.

Merits and demerits of Co-education.
Everything on earth has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Below here are few points of mine;
Merits of Co-education are;
• It enhances mutual respect for both genders.
• They get to learn a lot from each other.
• It helps to remove gender discrimination.
• They also get to share their respective ideas and thoughts to each other.
• They get to know the importance of each other.
Demerits of Co-education includes;
• Less concentration. Some students get distracted or loose focus on their and gets attracted to their opposite gender.
• Inappropriate and immoral behaviors. Some of them indulges themselves into sexual harassment, violence, conflict or bullying.
• Low confidence. Due to bullying, some students may feel inferior and get intimidated by their opposite gender and looses their self esteem and confidence.
