Definition Of Health
Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. It goes beyond just the absence of illness and highlights the importance of overall well-being. In other words, Health encompasses physical fitness, mental stability, and social harmony, reflecting a comprehensive approach to well-being.
Why Should We Have A Good Health?
There is a saying that says "Your health is your wealth". This means that having good physical and mental well-being is more valuable than material possessions or financial wealth, as it's the foundation for a fulfilling and productive life. In life today, most people value their wealth to their health which is very wrong, because your health is the most important thing in life. Good health is vital for satisfying life and performs a vital role in universal well being. Here are few key reasons why good health is essential;
• Enhanced Quality of Life: When you have a good health it allows you to participate in daily sports, activities, have good interaction with family, friends, and pursue pursuits.
• Increased Productivity: Healthy people are more efficient, strong, at their college, place of work, homes to maintain a better overall performance and opportunities.
• Reduced Healthcare Costs: Maintaining good and excellent fitness helps to reduce the chances of persistent and continuous illnesses, thereby decreasing medical expenses over the years.
• Mental well-being: Physical fitness is carefully connected to intellectual fitness. When we exercise ourselves regularly, eat a balanced food, it can improve mood and reduce anxiety and depression.
• Stronger Immune System: The best way by which we can enhance the immune system, is by making the frame more proof against infections and illnesses. Today, most of our youths have turned their selves to drug addicts, sniffing cocaines, drinking alcoholic drinks, smoking cigarettes, etc. And this in turn damages their immune system and also make their life span short.
How To Maintain A Good Health
There are thousand reasons and more on how to maintain a good health for both the kids and parents. But am going to mention a few keys. They include;
• Balanced Diet. We should learn how to consume a balanced food which usually contains the six classes of food. We should also eat vegetables, whole grains, proteins, and healthful fats.
• Regular Exercise. Exercising our body helps to keep the body physically fit. When we exercise on a daily basis, we get more stronger, fit, and hydrated.
• Drink plenty of water during the day and limit sugary beverages and excessive caffeine.
• Adequate Sleep. We should sleep for at least for 7-9 hours per night time. Establish a normal sleep agenda and create a restful surroundings.
• Stress Management. We should exclude ourselves from things that will cause us too much stress.
• Regular Check-ups. We should indulge ourselves in check-ups so that we can be physically fit and strong.
• Avoid Harmful Behaviors. This one is particularly for our youths and teenagers. We should quit smoking, avoid drug abuse, practice secure behaviors. and restrict alcohol intake.
• Mental Health Care. Go search for a professional help if you're experiencing fitness problems. Engage in mindfulness and self-care regularly.
• Educate Yourself. Be knowledgeable about fitness and associate yourself with topics that brings health care and physical fitness, and it will make educated alternatives regarding your way of life.
