#Update 70: Writing Expedition ✍🏻- Write On Tuesday: How To Sew Short Knickers👖

Hi friends... How are you doing? Am sure you're doing great.. Its another week of the writing expedition and am so happy to participate in it. In today's creativity, i will be sharing with you on how to sew short knickers. Read on;

Definition Of Short Knickers

Before I start to show you the steps on how to sew a short knickers, let's first know the meaning of the term. "Short Knickers" are garments worn over the pelvic area, circling the waist and splitting to cover the upper part of the legs, sometimes extending down to the knees but not covering the entire length of the leg. It is also short loose trousers that fit tightly below the knee. As for me, I love wearing short knickers because I feel comfortable, covered, freedom of movement of legs, fresh air circulate more than wearing trousers, etc.

Steps On How To Sew A Short Knicker

Sewing short knickers is a very simple thing to sew. Its what parents and kids here can do. Before now, i was scrolling through my phone, looking for what to create for this particular contest. Finally, I saw a girl wearing shorts and was looking so sweet on it. Then, I just remembered I had materials, so I decided to try it out. Here are the tutorials on short knickers;

Step 1:
• Firstly, I had to cut my shorts using my measurements which includes the crotch, waist, hip, lap for both the front and back bodies.

Step 2:
• Next, I cut out my sides pockets using 9 inches for the depth and 7 inches for the width.

Step 3:
• I went to my and joined the crotch areas together using half inch.

Step 4:
• After that, I joined the back sides of the crotch together with the front sides.

Step 5:
• Next, I turned the pockets and attached it to the sides of the shorts using one inch.

Step 6:
• When I was done putting the pockets, I closed the shorts using one inch and folded two inches on the down parts.

Step 7:
• After that, I had to cut out my band for the waist using the exact measurement on the shorts.

Step 8:
• Next, I went to my ironing table to iron the band. I added my paper gum to the band to make it more stronger.

Step 9:
• After ironing, I went to my machine and sewed the band round the waist.

Step 10:
• Due to its s free waist, I brought my elastic and put in the already sewed band. I squeeze it to the actual measurements and sewed it.

Step 11:
• Lastly, I ironed the short and this is the result of it below on me.. How does it look guys?😌
