I bring greetings to all my fellow steemites, I hope you are good ? Today is a blissful day. Foremost, I want to give thanks to the giver of life, for making it possible for us to see this day, because we are not in any way better than those that have died.
MORNING |
---|
Miraculously as it may sound in your ear, God woke me up healthy and strong. I executed my morning routine which is exercise. I always take out time to do my exercise, of course everyone knows the health benefits of exercise to the body, so I do not play with it. I do it twice a day. For those that do not know the importance of exercise, I will like to break it down for you.
- Exercise helps the cells in reducing the risk of disease.
- It also helps to regulate the blood sugar level in the body
- It helps to fight against disease of the heart.
- It helps in carrying out of day to day activities. Alot more to be mentioned but let me stop here
AFTERNOON |
---|
Here is how my afternoon went. This afternoon, I decided to cook jellof rice of which I have been longing for, for some days now. With the already bought items such as rice, vegetable oil, sachet tomatoes, onions, garlic, pepper, theme, onga, Crayfish, maggi and salt in my house, so started the cooking process. I began by measuring the number of cup of rice that I want to cook. I measured 4 cups or rice into a bowl, then fetched some water to first hand wash the rice, after washing it, I sieved it with a sieve. I wash it twice before pouring into apot to parboil it. I parboiled it for 10 minutes, after that I poured it into a sieve.
While parboiling the rice, I had cut my onions and my garlic, grind my pepper and crayfish as well. By the time everything was put in place, I on my gas cooker and placed a pot on it. I ensured that pot was dried, so I poured required quantity of vegetable oil into the pot. How wish you were here to see it by yourself, nevertheless I have made some videos on how I cooked it, you can watch it below.
While the oil was still hot, I added a pitch of salt into the oil, added the onions and the garlic, then turn it for some seconds before adding my tomatoes. I also added my pepper, theme and the onga. I allow it stay for some minutes before I added my rice to it. I cooked it till it was done , so I offed my gas and scoup it into a flat ceramic plates, behold food was ready . The rest is story.
I hope you have learned from my cooking prowess, if you do, comment on this post. Thanks
